NOTICE: Nyack Boat Club mooring inventory is limited due to storm damage. We have only one mooring for larger vessels, those over 36 feet, and three for smaller vessels.
The Nyack Boat Club was formed in 1909 by a group of boating enthusiasts to support recreational boating on the majestic Hudson. Set on a beautiful 2 1/2 acre site, the club is equidistant between the Tappan Zee Bridge and lovely Hook Mountain, on the west shore of the river. The Club facilities are a short walk from the heart of the Village of Nyack with a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and other amusements. Launch Service available to transients. See NBC Launch Schedule at www.nyackboatclub.org. Note, we generally limit transient moorage to five consecutive days.
Great stay! Everyone was very helpful and the boat club amenities were very clean and well maintained. Easy access to the town of Nyack with lots of restaurants and shops to visit. Definitely would return!
Club members were welcoming. Easy approach and mooring field. Launch operating throughout the day monitoring Ch 9.
Helped us with tender service to our mooring, easy access to grocers, downtown area & rental car. Fantastic town!
Perfect mooring, beautiful location and great restaurants
A nice location in a quaint town with plenty of restaurants, shops and grocery store. The staff has been outstanding in accommodating us. It was east to get to NYC for a day trip from this location. We would happily stay again.
Launch service was great since we were on a far mooring. Showers were good although the drains seemed plugged or very slow. Easy departure in the morning. Capt. Jeff
Beyond a great club The people at this club are extremely friendly and helpful If you look cal you might not think to stay here however I felt like I was in vacation someplace exotic The clubhouse is extremely clean Mooring balls are well kept The view is one in a million Food Bars The atmosphere is stunning Have fun Artemis
Thank you Nyack boat club. NBC is a wonder club. The members are friendly and welcoming. Walking distance to town.
Our members are welcoming to transient boaters. Walking distance to the quaint town of Nyack. Good restaurants and boutique stores there. Can also have food delivered and eat on our patio overlooking the Hudson River. Mooring fee is very reasonable. Check launch schedule. If not in service, you can bring a dinghy to our dinghy dock (on north side of pier). Hope to see you at our Club soon.
Quick response when making reservation. Nice welcome and like the shuttle service to the boat. People at the club are very friendly.
Friendly club with decent facilities. And mooring ball price!
Great club to visit. We stayed 2 days. Nice and calm at night
A beautiful location near the Tappen Zee bridge and NJ cliffs. They have a classic old club house with wood floors, trophies, comfortable furnishings and nice restrooms and showers. The launch wasn’t going all the time but 4 to 10 week days worked for us. the information online and thru the emails was very helpful. They responded promptly to questions. Members were friendly and helpful. there are lots of nice restaurants, markets and walking places nearby. We’ll be back. The only negative was the mooring field is large and subject to winds and wakes, making the place a little rough.
Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Special little town. All the charm of a New England village, but significantly more substance.with many more shops, restaurants and so forth.
They stay was as described. The moorings are easily identified in the most southeast corner of the mooring field. Orange buoy for heavy, green for lighter boats
Nice facility and friendly staff and club members. Easy access just north of Tappan Zee to pick up mooring.
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Special thank you to Kaprel for organizing a diver to dislodge our anchor which was stuck on a pipe in a designated anchoring area north of the mooring field. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is that the mooring field can be quite rough when winds oppose current, which makes for a very wet dinghy ride.
The Nyack Boat club was very accommodating, the tender operator, Larry was very courteous and thoughtful , we mentioned we had 6:00 pm dinner reservations and he called us at 5:15 to make sure we would be on time. The mooring was in the perfect spot for a view of the nicely lit Tappan Zee Bridge, we spent a quiet night and were lucky enough to sail right from the mooring with a favorable breeze and current for our trip upriver.
We reserved a mooring here on our way south, and it was perfect for our needs. The pick up stick made catching the ball easy, and the bridle held us securely through some chunky seas. Even though the Boat Club Launch wasn’t running yet, Dave went out of his way to pick us up and take us to the dock. Also worth mention is that we had an excellent French dinner in Nyack at Alain’s.
Nice people, secure mooring, pretty club (although not much going on due to Covid) and good launch service.
Revisited NBC for the second time- Everyone was very helpful and Nyack is a lovely town enemy with the stress of the Covid crisis.
We stayed one night at the Boat Club. Boat Club members were friendly and helpful. The launch was available for going to shore. The showers were great. The town was delightful with good restaurants, a small market, and good farmers market on Thursday am.
Quiet club. Folks were nice and accommodating. Showers were clean. Town is active but not crazy. Pleasant stay
Dave was very helpful. Having a waverunner required a different approach and he was extremely helpful and creative. Much obliged!
NBC is great. Good people great place to stay over on the Hudson
