Forgot to mention that there was no pumpout service as advertised on their website.

The location was great but the facilities offered were not. The bathroom facilities are Public...not locked. Lots of tourists coming and going. The shower...1 only ...unisex... Code to enter the main door...then actual shower is behind a lockable door....It was key locked upon our arrival. No one was inside...We went to security and they said it was not locked...and insisted we were wrong.... I asked him to unlock it for us and he refused...just sat at his desk. We went back. used code to enter shower area to check it again locked and again no one inside ...no shower running...and door key locked inside shower area. We went back AGAIN to security and he still did not want to go open the door. So..no shower for us.... Second day...went back to the shower hoping someone had unlocked it and it was indeed unlocked...BUT there was a huge utility cart inside with tools etc on it...No Shower again...We called the marina office and no answer. It seemed we were basically left to our own devices and there was very little organization when it came to the marina facility...For the price it was definitely not worth it...We stayed at the Constitution Marina last month and Paid far less but got much better service and amenities. Hoping things change as we really liked the location. It just really seemed like we were on our own...

Great location. Water is a bit rough, and docks move a lot so would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues. Bathrooms and showers are a fair distance away as well. Dock staff was great, would certainly go back.

Christine at the dock was phenomenal. She helped with lines and docking. One of the nicest dockhands i've met in Boston harbor.

Stay was great. Dock personel could not have been any more helpful.

Right in the center of Bostons business district, lots of things to see and do too. Very close to ferries and airport. Everyone was very courteous and helpful.

You couldn't ask for a much better location in downtown Boston...but the surge, rocking and rolling is a bit annoying. Wish they had better/bigger/more secure concrete floating docks. The wood one's seemed a little wimpy for our size boat. IF you go suggest you ask to tie up in the wedge/notch with bow out so you can ride the surge.....you'll have no views though off the transom. We shoulda tried this bow in transom out for the views and maybe less side to side rolling. Bazz the dock attendant is super nice person answers all questions and is helpful. We had a GREAT time in Boston!

Water was rough and the boat was rocking all night. The bathroom facility was unlocked the door did not close so the general public was using it My wife did not feel safe in the bathroom.

Marina is in a great spot for enjoying the city, it’s close to everything. The marina’s amenities are lacking. The security of the boaters area is not secure at all. Part of my stay was tough due to strong wind. No breakwater to mask the current and wind made for 2 very uncomfortable days and nights. The dock hands were terrific and accommodating. No WiFi. I will choose a different marina next time no doubt. Now they answered my review and say that the gates are secure, They are not you can just reach over and unlock the door. WiFi is not dedicated to the Marina, it’s shares with harbor hotel conference room.

Great location. Easy slip to back into

Nice location...NOT appropriate for our size yacht yet they took us. No adequate shore power and no protection from harbor waters. We had to find another marina

There were positives and negatives during our recent stay (July 2018) at the Marina at Rowes Wharf. On a positive note, the setting was really terrific. If you are heading to a port in a bustling city you want an urban feel. (At least we did.) The docks are nestled between the mixed use commercial structure (office space, hotel, apartments) and gave you a great feel of really being in the heart of a city. The location was also great — next to the Seaport area with lots of restaurants, shops and attractions nearby including Quincy Market. We had tried unsuccessfully to get in at Boston Yacht Haven so we walked over there to check it out and actually liked the setting at Rowes Wharf better. Finally, the facility itself was well maintained and clean. That said, there were some drawbacks that management needs to address. First, they don’t really seem to be set up to accommodate transients. As we got close to the marina we attempted to hail them on channel 9 (the channel they monitor) and received no response. I ended us calling a cell phone number and reached someone who was able to help us dock. He said that if we had any issues to call that number and he would respond. In addition, he stopped by the check on us the next day to see how our stay was which we thought was very nice. Our stay was uneventful so we had no reason to call but as we got ready to leave and wanted help casting off we again tried to hail the marina on channel 9 — again no response — so we called the phone number again. This time no one answered the phone but there was a recorded message that if you needed a dockhand to call another number. Of course, that was not what I was expecting so I didn’t have paper and pencil nearby. I then got out a pen and called the number back to record the other phone number. When I dialed the other number, however (and I tried several times), I received a message that the person I was calling either didn’t set up voicemail or had a voicemail box that was full. Fortunately, it wasn’t a very windy day so my husband and I just did the cast off by ourselves. The second issue is the lack of security. Though there is a “gate” with a key pad to enter the dock area, if you don’t know the pin you simply reach over the fence and turn the knob. It is very obvious that this can be done. In addition the fence on the side of the gate doesn’t extend very far and, particularly in high tide, it would be very easy for someone to simply climb around that gate. Being right on the Harbor Walk makes the security issue doubly important. We simply didn’t leave anything out while we were away from our boat, closed up and locked the companion-way and closed all of the larger ports. Boston Yacht Haven, on the other hand, had a very serious gate, offering true protection, that would have made both of us feel more comfortable. Finally, on a more minor note, they really don’t have WiFi. To connect to WiFi you connect to one of the hotel conference rooms so the reception is spotty. Okay for us on vacation but not great for someone dependent on WiFi for work or personal needs. But for the lack of security and the challenge of getting anyone to help with our sailboat when assistance was a needed, we would be highly recommending the Marina at Rowes Wharf. Again, the setting was superb and the location was perfect.
