My first full year at MSY has been great, thanks to the whole crew and management. They keep putting money back into the place, which is really encouraging. Last February’s fire in the mast‑storage buildings was a huge hit, but they bounced back fast and kept improving the yard even while rebuilding.
My biggest worry going in was the lack of floating docks, but Ken, the dock master, set my lines perfectly. It hasn’t been an issue at all—other than the occasional super‑low tide or windy day, and even then, I never had to touch a thing.
This winter I had a dedicated bow thruster battery system installed and they also replace all my 8D sized batteries. They did this efficiently, carefully and professionally. I am happy to be here for another season.
