I usually stay at the PJYC several times a year as a good location when working my way East or West through the LI sound. Good protection except when the wind is out of the North. It appears that the moorings were recently upgraded with new pick up sticks. Good proxmity to restaurants. Joe the launch operator is fantastic, and while other yacht clubs and Marinas appear ro be cutting back on when launches are operating, PJYC has them operating until 11 or 11:30 pm in season and until around 9:30pm off season.
THE BAD NEWS: THE MEN'S ROOM IS USUALLY GROSS ( LADIES ROOM IS LARGER BUT NOT MUCH BETTER.) BOTH ONLY HAVE ONE TOILET AND ONE SINK ( TWO SHOWERS). ON A RECENT VISIT, MEN'S ROOM TOILET WAS STUFFED AND DISGUSTING. NOT THE FIRST TIME. SHOWER DRAINS HAVE BEEN BACKED UP. IT IS TIME TO UPGRADE THE REST ROOM FACILITIES.
