Report Review

First and foremost, this is not an ADA compliant marina. Restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are on the second floor over the marina office. You are required to climb 24 steps to use the facilities. No restrooms available in the office area. Second, it would have been appreciated knowing that their pump out was not working. And, after two and half weeks, the pump out still was not functional. If we had known prior to our arrival to Safe Harbor Bahia Bleu, we would have made other arrangements. And, now for the most important issue. While away from our boat for approximately 2 hours, another boat hit the power pedestal were our 50 amp cord was attached, causing a partial dislodgment of our power cord, which caused our boat to go into reverse polarity. Since this was another boat causing the reverse polarity, it became an insurance issue. An electrician looked at our boat and determined that we lost our battery charger and it would require a replacement unit. While waiting for insurance approval on our claim, We have lost 4 batteries due to not being able to charge our batteries. Furthermore, we have paid an outrageous dock fee to stay at this marina. No weekly or monthly rates. Safe Harbor refused to give us an incident report, stating in was an internal document. Therefore, we filed a police report. Bahia Bleu did pay for one night accommodations for us and our guests the first night when the reverse polarity occurred. Now, so we don’t sound like sour grapes. Dock hands were friendly, one dock hand tried to help us with charging the batteries. Safe Hathor Bahia Bleu, let my husband store his motor scooter in the rack and launch building, which was greatly appreciated. We did find the restrooms were cleaned. Would choose another location in the future.
