Great Service Thanks for helping tie off and pump out
Easy access and great customer service. Will return again!
The staff is always courteous and professional. The pump out station wasn't working while we were there but everything else was great. We will be back!
It was perfect. Very helpful and friendly staff. In a great and safe location.
Very accommodating. Lots of polite and knowledgeable assistance available.
This marina is so well managed and is in a great location, very close to a marine store and restaurants etc. The restrooms showers are kept clean and warm in the winter. There are office facilities, laundry facilities and a reading nook. Everything you need and all very close. Everybody is friendly and helpful with good information on Thunderbolt and the marina given on arrival. We saw river otters the first time we were here. The manager told us that manatees will probably be there in June.
Stayed here for two nights for our annual boat trip to Savannah from Charleston. The staff was awesome and we would highly recommend docking here!
This marina is very clean and the staff are top notch. The only reason for 4-stars vs. 5-star is only because it is remote with limited amenities. I would absolutely go here again.
S/V GALILEO -Morgan 38, 5’ draft- Stayed here mid December 2023 to avoid bad weather. Staff was friendly. Stay was pleasant. It’s primarily a stack storage marina but they made room for us after giving them last minute notice. Nice restaurants within a short walking distance. We would stay here again.
Our three-day stay at Safe Harbor Bahia Bleu marina was nothing short of fantastic. The staff were welcoming and helped with lines as we arrived. They exhibited exceptional accommodation by seamlessly extending our visit due to high winds, when we requested an extra day. Their assistance set a welcoming tone for our entire stay. The facilities were impressively clean and well-kept, enhancing the overall experience. The laundry area had a nice waiting area with reading materials and the showers had a large private dressing area – both men’s and women’s. Moreover, the marina's strategic location provided convenient access to nearby restaurants, all of which offered nice dining options. We especially enjoyed Tubby’s Tank House. A bit of a hike, but we were able to go to the grocery while during our stay. Safe Harbor Bahia Blue marina surpassed our expectations, providing not only top-notch service but also a delightful environment for a memorable getaway.
Helpful staff, nice amenities, fairly close to stores. Wish they offered shuttle service to downtown Savannah since it is not a bike ride or walk away.
Staff was very friendly and helpful for fueling and docking (we were on the fuel dock). Showers and bathrooms were clean. Saved a lot on diesel with Safe Harbor discount. Will stay again on our return north in the Spring. Mainly a dry stack facility, so not many slips for larger boats.
Clean Marina with a great staff, a few very good restaurants in walking distance. We will be back! We returned back here for 4 nights the first week of August 2023, rented a car from Enterprise 1 mile up the road and explored Savannah & Tybee Island with family that flew in for our stay. Also recommend Erica Davis restaurant within walking distance, excellent food. Best shrimp and grits my wife and I ever had. Also Driftaway Cafe for dinner a 5 mile drive and we'll worth it. Great Stay at Bahia Bleu.
I arrived after the office was closed. The power did not work on any of the available power stancions, so we were forced to leave and stay at thunderbolt marina, which had an open office and proper power. I’d like to receive a refund or credit for the unused slip rental.
Help was excellent. Extremely clean. Great gift shop. Short Uber ride to historic Savannah. Definitely coming back soon.
Staff was very nice and accommodating. Facilities were very clean with huge showers. Nice area for a morning walk.
Stayed a quiet night on the outside T. Was initially put in front of the fuel pumps. Manager and staff very nice, moved us down from the gas ⛽️ after 6.
Good stop with a couple ok restaurants nearby.
Always a great stop going north or south on the ICW. Great dock hands. Easy in and out. Great restaurants and a well-stocked marine store a short walk away.
Staff waiting to help with lines on arrival. Very courteous.
Very nice marina with stellar washrooms and showers. Nice laundry and good deckhands. We were only there for a night so didn’t explore the area at all. Not close enough to historic Savannah for walking.
Great place to stop for the night. Good fuel prices and friendly staff.
The dock guys were very responsive. Fuel price was good with safe harbor black card. Great marina
This never happens,,,,, they called US to see what time we would arrive and then allowed us to come in several hours early. Three deck hands were there to help tie us securely. The docks are very nice, the ships store had a great variety of food, drinks and boat supplies. The viewing deck and bathrooms were amazing. Five stars. You will need transportation into Savannah. Uber cost us about 23$. There is a carribean cafe across the street from the marina. It was very good.
We had a wonderful time here. The marina staff were gracious and very helpful. We had brunch at Tortuga restaurant across the street, very good and very convenient. We will definitely stay again.
We stayed at Bahia Bleu twice this season. The staff there is incredible and willing to help with anything we needed. Dani and Kelly especially stand out as superstars I dealt with them the most. However, ALL staff is kind, friendly and helpful. Dani went above and beyond in working with our changing schedule and making sure we had a dockage when we needed it. Kelly was knowledgeable on where to go and what to see. This was so helpful as we had never been to Savannah. Our experience couldn't be better.
Fantastic! A fabulous transient stop while we waited for a Haulout. Easy fuel dock and fabulous laundry, shower facilities! Employees work very hard and are gracious and helpful! Great communication for arrival (and restaurant recommendations). Would definitely come back!
Bahia Bleu is a wonderful marina! Great location, spectacular caring staff, easy. Highly recommend!
Dock and office staff were wonderful – responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had to leave the boat for a few days and felt secure with the quality of the docks and the marina staff. Great location – easy walk to Tubby's Tank House and easy Ubers to historic area.
Staff could not have been any nicer or helpful. Terrific people. Excellent docks and super clean facilities. Really appreciated the experience
Very nice physical facility, great staff, location convenient to restaurants, a marine store and two grocery stores. Would definitely stay here again. - very good floating, concrete surfaced docks with plenty of large, sturdy cleats, new power pedestals. - showers and heads (2 each in men’s and women’s rest room facilities were very nice, well above average. Also wet clean. - location was convenient to several restaurants, a marine store just down the block, and a Kroger and Whole Foods grocery about 1.6 & 1.7 miles away (we walked). Erica Davis seafood and bbq was very good and a 10 minute walk away. - staff was extremely helpful and friendly
First and foremost, this is not an ADA compliant marina. Restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are on the second floor over the marina office. You are required to climb 24 steps to use the facilities. No restrooms available in the office area. Second, it would have been appreciated knowing that their pump out was not working. And, after two and half weeks, the pump out still was not functional. If we had known prior to our arrival to Safe Harbor Bahia Bleu, we would have made other arrangements. And, now for the most important issue. While away from our boat for approximately 2 hours, another boat hit the power pedestal were our 50 amp cord was attached, causing a partial dislodgment of our power cord, which caused our boat to go into reverse polarity. Since this was another boat causing the reverse polarity, it became an insurance issue. An electrician looked at our boat and determined that we lost our battery charger and it would require a replacement unit. While waiting for insurance approval on our claim, We have lost 4 batteries due to not being able to charge our batteries. Furthermore, we have paid an outrageous dock fee to stay at this marina. No weekly or monthly rates. Safe Harbor refused to give us an incident report, stating in was an internal document. Therefore, we filed a police report. Bahia Bleu did pay for one night accommodations for us and our guests the first night when the reverse polarity occurred. Now, so we don’t sound like sour grapes. Dock hands were friendly, one dock hand tried to help us with charging the batteries. Safe Hathor Bahia Bleu, let my husband store his motor scooter in the rack and launch building, which was greatly appreciated. We did find the restrooms were cleaned. Would choose another location in the future.
Very nice Marina, great staff, friendly, clean and well organised facilities.
Very nice marina. Friendly and helpful staff with clean facilities. I will definitely be back
We stopped here for two days slowly making our way south down the ICW. The staff was terrific, WiFi was great, a few restaurants near by but no fault of theirs the pump out was not working. They have been waiting on parts for repairs. The face dock is easy to dock. I highly recommend it.
Great marina and staff. The docks were in great shape and the showers/ bathrooms were in excellent condition. Danni and Buck, the management team, were very helpful.
Great staff and facilities. Would stay here again.
Best communication prior to and upon arrival than any other marina on the ICW so far. Good socks, helpful staff ( though the ramp was SUPER slippery at low tide in pouring rain - no surprise). They accommodated our request for an additional day because of weather without an issue. Short walk to 4 restaurants and a short Uber to downtown Savannah.
Really enjoyed our stay here - Buck, the General Manager, and his team are amazing. Beautiful clean showers, nice porch area with grill and multiple restaurants within easy walking distance. A plus was the easy Uber transportation to visit Savannah and the Isle of Hope.
Great staff. Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
We loved it here. The restrooms and laundry facilities are immaculate and the staff is friendly and courteous. There are restaurants within walking distance and a really well stocked marine store across the street.
Late arrival and pleasantly surprised. 1st visit. Bath and shower very nice and very clean. Nice walkable restaurants and marine store. Especially enjoyed Tubby's. Good food and music.
Second time we’ve stayed here on our trip staff is awesome the young lady that runs the dock is amazing and so helpful. We will be back.
Aiden & Becka were so helpful with fueling & the lines when we left this morning. It was a great marina to leave our boat for a few days while we visited family in Savannah.
The team at Safe Harbor Bahia Bleu is a great group of individuals, hard-working and friendly. We stayed at the marina for 2.5 weeks and had a chance to know some of the staff. Dani, the business manager, was extra helpful in assisting us in extending our reservation due to an emergence trip to California. The marina's location and amenities were great. It was able to accommodate our 7' draft easily, even at negative tide. The WIFI reception was excellent, laundry machines were free, and the bathrooms were nice. Several restaurants were within short walking distances from the marina. Grocery stores, including Target & Home Depot, were within 1.5 miles from the marina. We will definitely return to this marina the next time we are in the area.
Very friendly staff. Clean bathrooms and showers. We enjoyed our stay and would come here again.
Great marina. Outstanding customer service. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I strongly recommend!
We stayed there on April 24-25, 2021. Nice facility, nicer people! Free Laundry and near some nice restaurants within walking distance! We will be back! Maggie and Me
The staff are unbelievably attentive and helpful! The marina is quiet and clean. We made use of their free laundry facility! A short Uber ride to anything in Savannah. Definitely recommend!
This is great place to stay. The showers are clean and the staff is friendly but there is no pumpout.
We stayed here for a total of six nights over a ten day period. First the good news - very friendly staff, free laundry (one washer, one dryer) and great location, don’t miss Erica Davis Low Country restaurant just minutes away by foot. Now the not so good, their dock hands (though very friendly) are completely untrained in handling incoming boats larger than what they can lift out in their forklift. First time we came in, two young ladies were dispatched to grab lines and assist. Handed a spring line and moved to the bow to hand a line. Moved to the rear to tie off the stern. Looked up, neither had wrapped line around a cleat. I said “ loop a cleat!” and we finally got it figured out. Left for a quick side trip and returned. This time, two very friendly young men came out. Handed a spring line and said “here’s my spring line. He said “I got it” this time we had a friend aboard and she handed the bow line off. I moved to the back to hand off the stern line. The first dockhand had dropped my spring line in the water and was reaching for my stern line. At this point, we were drifting away from the dock (in a narrow fairway) and each dock hand was holding a line in their hands trying to pull in a 50,000 yacht. Again “ wrap those lines around a cleat!” One wrapped the line around a cleat in a circle instead of a cleat hitch. After we stopped a fellow boater on the dock said “welcome to the asylum” and shook his head. Also, they list pump out services, but “yeah, our pump out is broken, we need new hoses.” Until they get their act together, stay at Thunderbolt or Hinkley.
Nice marina. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet town. Eat at Tubby's. Good food and a easy walk. We will be back.
Bahia Bleu gives a whole new meaning to "Safe Harbor". We needed a safe haven from three days of heavy fog and they accommodated us with outstanding service and support. The staff was friendly and professional.
nice marina in good shape. Really helpful staff.
Great marina and staff. Great restaurants within easy walking distance.
