68 state of the art Poralu floating docks ready to go for summer 2022. Slips will range in size from 16 to 65 feet. 30 to 50 amp shore power and water available at docks, scheduled to have water and power by the end of the season 2022. Free WiFi, washrooms and showers.
I was an excited and patient customer for 2 years. Unfortunately, there were constant promises unkept from no security lock on entry gate, no power at the slip and no fish cleaning station. I also reported an unsafe boating risk due to excessive seaweed at the slip causing motor problems twice after leaving the docks (pictures were provided). I was told it would be resolved this Spring. I followed up over the last several weeks to be finally told it is not seen as a priority issue.
New floating docks but they haven't installed the electric or water and it's been two years! They're fighting over who should pay the bill, supply the utilities, etc. We had to run our generator all night for A/C and to keep our freezer going. The bathrooms were poor. We were instructed to use a newer bathroom that had no toilet paper, it was filthy and the shower was the size of a coffin. I only gave this 2 stars because the town itself is great.
Pros: great new docks and very talented staff. Descent location relative to main shopping strip. Cons: no power, no water and a profoundly unsafe “no lights on the dock” Rumour has it there has been litigation but this is year three like this. Get your act together.
