Friendly staff. Clean showers. Bulkhead tie up a little tough. Wish had fuel and pump out. All in all good marina
Fantastic! The slip was great, the staff is friendly and helpful, the tackle shop has everything and the restaurant is super, can’t wait to return
The folks at Westlake are incredibly helpful and genuinely nice. This is a legit fishing marina, if that’s what you’re in montauk for. The Montauk Fish House on site is also amazing.
Very salty, very friendly. Restaurant at the marina has great food Fridays and Saturday nights there is a band but it doesn’t run too late. Marina staff is very knowledgeable and super helpful. This is an active fishing marina so expect early departures, that being said the fisherman are super respectful about keeping noise down as they depart. We definitely return
Great marina. Family owned and run. Couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming.
West lake marina is a great place for fishing or a relaxing vacation. The on-site restaurant and bar has delicious food, great service and live entertainment. The bartender Abby was a delight…the bathrooms and showers were very clean. We will surely be back. Chris and Suzanne Hollister
Place was great. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be using them in the future.
Always a pleasant stay! Friendly people, clean, good location!
great people nice place . great place to talk fishing !
They said there were floating docks but that was only for small boats which we should have been told about The wooden staircase was almost impossible to use Joel was very helpful
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Joel tied us up so we did not have to guess or worry about the tidal change then gave us some great local knowledge about where to eat and things to see while in Montauk. Decent depth all the way to and in the marina itself. Well protected from wind in all directions.
I received very limited assistance from a doc hand who provided little help and knew little about the area or what it has to offer.
Great place, very helpful upon arrival and docking. All the tackle and bait you could need available and short walk to restaurants. Will be my go to place in Montauk!
The staff was so friendly and the bathrooms were immaculate. Excellent restaurant. However, this is a fisherman’s marina and absolutely not sailboat friendly. The docking situation is poor at best for a sailboat. Also extremely shallow water.
It is always a pleasure to stay at Westlake. Chris & Tonya do an outstanding job keeping a real marina operating. They always do there best to accommodate. Communication is excellent. I highly recommend a visit if your looking to experience a family owned fishing marina with a great restaurant vibe.
Friendly and accommodating. Good showers and parking.
Made plans and reservations well in advance. Not only did we get split up but they put us on opposite sides of the marina. This is a fishing marina, not meant for transients. Multiple requests were made the first day to change our (group) docking arrangement. They couldn’t be bothered. All questions were answered “NO”. Won’t go there again.
Extremely friendly marina all the staff as well as the owners make your stay there very enjoyable able. I’ve stayed her for the past 10+ years. Highly recommend
Staff very nice. It is a quintessential fishing marina. Many charters that leave between 4-8 am. So it could get a bit noisy The dock we had was very easy in and out however the dock was not floating and we needed a step stool within our boat to step on The side of the boat in order to get on to the dock. Not for the faint of heart. They did provide us with a step stool. Otherwise a nice marina
Great stay! Friendly people, great location and the best sushi I have had in a very long time. Thank you! Sean---
We love it here! Just finished our 4th season at Westlake. Chris and the team are great, the regulars are respectful and the Westlake Fish-house has some amazing sushi! Try the Montauk or the Westlake roll with all local catch!
Always the most welcoming ! David is great and always there to Help out. Best place to come and grab a slip.
We had a great experience staying 2 nights at Westlake. This is real the real Montauk where sports/ charter fisherman work around a well maintained/clean marina. Chris came down after hours to help us tie up with our late arrival and gave some good food suggestions incl their own restaurant. It’s close to everything (we were on bikes). Can’t beat the authentic hospitality and good value Westlake offers in a beautiful part of LI sound. We’ll be back… Thanks again, Chris!
I've stayed at many 4 star and 5 star hotels because my wife travels a lot for work and we get great Marriott benefits and Westlake Marina treated us just as well as any of those other fine resorts. Great people, down to earth and a wonderful facility. I have stayed at other places in Montauk that are close to double the price and not half the service. I will always be going back to Westlake.
Great central location in Newport w Bowen’s Wharf and surrounding shops and restaurants. Dock staff very helpful and facilities very clean
We enjoyed staying at West Lake Marina. The staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. We loved watching all the charter boats come back from a day of fishing with their catch of the day. Be warned - book ahead if you want to go out with one of these boats. The restaurant is superb, although very pricey. The only thing we weren’t happy about was the WiFi. We pretty much had to go sit by the office in order to use the WiFi. If you are looking for a basic marina with a fishing atmosphere, we recommend West Lake Marina.
They should state what kind of docks they have. We were expecting finger slips.
Very helpful while docking.. the bathrooms are as clean as any I've ever seen.... I. An understand the concerns about it being tight for a larger boat but I spun my 30ft amberjack in without incident... we will be back
Staff was very friendly and responsive. Quiet and relaxing area. Bathrooms/showers were extremely clean. We will definitely be back!
Was the only sailboat in the marina but they were very friendly and helpful. Restrooms were clean and well maintained and showers were not extra. 1st time to Montauk and they gave us recommendations on where to go and get provisions. Would definitely go back
As a person with a large boat said it’s tight quarters for sure! The staff was very nice, flexible and accommodating during our stay. The facilities were clean which was nice and as a transient it was nice to have working WiFi. We toured as much of Montauk as we could in one day and then came back to Westlake and enjoyed a cocktail, company and the band. Definitely be back.
The marina is a fishing marina but the marina and people were extremely nice and helpful. They could use a few more 50 amp outlets and the WiFi was adequate. Enjoyed staying there and will go back in the future.
Not good for larger boats to navigate in and out. We have a 37 ft silverton. Very tight quarters and shallow water. We were parked against a side dock with what appeared to be a motel on other side of fence when we were expecting an actual slip. Staff were friendly. Seems more oriented toward smaller fishing boats. They have a restaurant on grounds which was playing mostly country music. Good if that's what you like. We did not check out restaurant so I can not offer an opinion.
Very nice people. Great restaurant. Only thing missing are floating docks.
From the docks to the office very friendly staff. Not only for the fisherman. Live music was great. Clean bathroom and showers. Only one mile to Town along the way stopped for a mudslide at Liars Saloon. Great time. Would definitely come back to Westlake Marina
Very friendly and helpful, clean bathrooms good restaurant and drink
Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. The marina itself is all about fishing boats. Since we are not fishermen we felt a little like fish out of water- ha ha ha. Nearby restaurant choices are good but limited.
Nice. Friendly crew. Laid back. Relaxing. Short walk to restaurants. Thank you.
Marina staff was very helpful, enjoyed our short stay.
Marina Staff was very pleasant. Marina had a nice casual restaurant that was quite busy with boaters and locals. People know where to come to have fun. Marina was quiet. Staff was very accommodating. I arrived after hours, but the staff had notified me where to dock and left a key for the bathrooms. I would definitely return to this location again. Bathrooms are a little old but very functional.
Tanya, Chris & David are an exceptionally genial team who made us feel very welcomed!
Great place for a fishing family! Chris and David took good care of us from the moment we arrived to the second we left. We are coming back for sure!
