The Town of Scituate is located midway between Boston and Plymouth. Scituate was incorporated in 1636 and has always maintained a healthy commercial fishing fleet, while being an active homeport for numerous recreational boats.
The Scituate Harbormaster’s Office is staffed year round by three individuals. During the recreational boating season (May 15th – October 15th) the staff is augmented by an additional 23 Assistant Harbormasters. The Harbormaster and his Assistant Harbormasters are responsible for insuring water safety, maritime law enforcement and the assignment of moorings and slips administered by the Town of Scituate.
PLEASE NOTE: - Seven days maximum per boating season, consecutive or individual. - Reservations cannot be transferred to other vessels or other dates. Vessel on record must be vessel in the slip.
At this time, we do not have any seasonal slips or seasonal moorings available for 2022. If you would like to put yourself on our waiting list for a seasonal Mooring only - please come by the office or call us at (781) 545-2130
It did the job, but poor communication from the Harbor Master’s office made finding the mooring more difficult than it needed to be. Mooring was barely off the channel and exposed, and a long way from the town dock. Facilities are so so. Pretty spot though.
Scituate was great. All Business’s are open.
The harbormasters were extremely helpful and kind. Thanks again!
The harbormasters were very friendly and helpful. Had a great meal on the water a stones throw from the slip and a coffee in the morning from Dunkin as well. The entrance to the harbor is a bit challenging on the way out, but just gun it to the bell buoy.
Harbormaster it was very helpful guiding us in. Laundromat is just 100 yards from the docks
Mooring is a considerable distance from marina offices. Launch service referred to was $6/person per ride so for 2 of us to visit town and back was more expensive than other marinas offering launch service. Docks are very nice and recently upgraded. Pumpout pretty easy to handle although no hands were available when we came in. Town and stores very handy to marina but cost of launch deterred us from coming back and exploring. Would have paid $10-15 more for mooring if launch was included.
Awesome Harbor Master. Great Service, very responsive. My wife and I had a great stay, the Mill Wharf Resturaunt is awesome!
It was a great experience. Everyone was so helpful
Very friendly and accommodating. New piles to hold the docks and a new ramp this year. Fun stay over on our cruise north or south to the canal. Look forward to our next stop over.
We requested help in docking and they were right there. Location of slip was excellent. First overnight trip my wife has gone on without kids and she had a great time. Wants to try it again. We’re both in our 70’s.
Harbormaster was VERY helpful and nice. Facilities are scarce. (Couldn’t find bathroom or trash). Floating docks are in good shape. I was on a mooring. Moorings are out near the entrance to the harbor. If you are on a ball, give them a call first, save yourself the trip into the harbor. (Which is very tight)
Great location. Mooring was challenging to find. Part of town system but seemed like a private marina. Staff was excellent and helpful. Would stay again!
We ducked into Scituate because of weather and assumed that the mooring was in the inner harbor because that’s where the Marina renting the moorings is located. They assigned us a town mooring in the outer harbor that was pretty lumpy all night. If I had known I would have continued on to the next harbor.
Nice Marina, beautiful scenery and we were right in the downtown area and within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. I gave this a 4 because showers were $4.00. This was never mentioned when we arrived. There was also no WiFi. Those amenities would have added to the experience even if they were built into the price.
Nice quiet spot. Easy in and out from Boston or Cape Cod Canal. Great staff, very helpful. Great meal at Salt Society which is a very short walk. All the stores and restaurants within 1/4 mile. We will stop again.
Nice mooring place, good facilities, very professional and friendly staff.
Scituate is a lovely town. The mooring (pricey) was out by the lighthouse and easy to hook up. We also figured out that there's a pay-to-ride launch service (Easy Rider) which made everything easier once we got aboard.
Great place to stay..staff is friendly and very accommodating..
Harbormaster folks were great. Floating docks in a protected harbor. Right down town with everything you would need in walking distance.
The balls are located near the harbr entrance channel, so it can be a little bouncy with wakes and swell, and it's a long dinghy ride to the harbormaster's dock (launch service is not included in the mooring fee). That said, we had a great time walking around town. The grocery store is small but adequate and very convenient to the dinghy docks.
nice mooring with padded cylinder ball and new, well maintained pendants. Good dock facility with water accessible right there and a fuel dock also close by. The harbormaster's mooring where we stayed in the "outer" harbor by G7, not in the inner basin like you may think from the pictures. It was very windy but still generally flat and a nice place to sleep. They're figuring out launch service as well, but you can pretty much call any of the other launches and pay cash if you need. Or BYO dinghy.
Beautiful harbor and friendly people! As long as you don’t expect them to help you dock, you won’t be disappointed.
Great overnight stopover
Great marina, friendly staff, It was great having help with the docklines as backing in to these slips is a bit tricky.
Nice harbor and friendly community
awesome, hassle free, great rates
Very nice slip spot , On short notice they accommodated my request, Thanks for a great weekend,
Nice folks great service...
We had some issues with the power but otherwise everything was great.
Great Marina. Everyone from the Harbormaster to marina staff, is very friendly and welcoming. Nice little town. We ate at Mill Wharf Restaurant twice and loved it. Also when looking for a bottle of wine we found Harborside Wine and Spirits. They have a great wine selection. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location and proximity to many restaurants and beaches. We were lucky to see fireworks right from our slip both nights we were there. Neighboring boats were all friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
Great people who work the dock and nice atmosphere.
These guys came out to help us dock with a huge thunderstorm approaching. Starting raining buckets about 2 minutes after we tied up.
No shower, no place to dispose of trash, only a portapotty, but friendly people. Water on dock only worked one day. Still ok to go there though. Nice town.
Loved our stay here! Right in the heart of Scituate, great restaurants, shopping and the views are beautiful! The marina personnel are the best and the people of Scituate are warm and welcoming. Will definitely be back
Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly!!! Great place to stay!
