I am the lead Captain for the organization Sail Beyond Cancer. Our mission is to provide 3 hour private sailing experience for those undergoing treatment for cancer. We have chosen to keep our boat at the Burlington Community Docks due to the prime location to downtown Burlington and the ease of access for our clients but also because of the incredible service that we receive from Rob Peterson and his staff. While we carry a crew of 3 to pilot our 42' Catalina, there are times in certain weather situations when we need a hand getting on and off the dock. Rob's crew always appears on the dock quickly as if by magic and handles our lines to assure that we give our passengers a safe landing. The entire staff is always cheerful and super helpful resulting ain an over all uplifting experience when we encounter them. In addition, Rob and the City of Burlington donate a parking spot for our Captains within easy walking distance to the slip to support us on our efforts to serve the cancer community. Thanks Rob for all you do and we are looking forward to a great season in 2027.
