Yes — I’d make it clear that you physically moved the boat multiple times trying different power pedestals, not just tried different plugs. Our experience at this marina was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. We specifically chose this marina because our generator needed repair, so having reliable shore power was the entire reason we stopped there. When we arrived, there were no other boats docked, no marina personnel present, and no dockmaster available. We were completely on our own. We also were never emailed, called, or given the gate code, so when we began having problems with the shore power, we couldn’t even leave to stay at a hotel because we had no way to get back through the gate. We physically moved our boat multiple times to different power pedestals throughout the marina trying to find one that worked. Some breakers tripped immediately as soon as we connected, while others would stay on for approximately 10–12 minutes before tripping. After moving a 41-foot boat from one location to another several times and continuing to have the same problem, it was obvious we were not going to have reliable shore power. We tried reaching someone for help but were unable to get ahold of anyone until the following morning. That meant we spent the entire night without the power we had specifically paid to have access to. When we finally reached someone the next morning, the dockmaster came out and told us there was nothing he could do to help us. However, he did make sure to tell us that if we were still there after 11:00 a.m., we would be charged for another day. Electrical problems can happen, and we understand that. What we don’t understand is having absolutely no personnel available, no emergency assistance, no gate code provided, multiple unusable power pedestals, and then being told there was nothing they could do when we finally reached someone. We paid for a marina slip because we needed shore power, and we spent the entire night without it. After the lack of communication and customer service we experienced, we would not stay here again and cannot recommend this marina to other boaters.
First time at new metpark marina and it did not dissappoint. We will definitely use in the future
Our stay at Met Park Marina was awesome!!!! Andrew and staff were ready to assist us to make sure we had everything we needed. We are already looking at dates for our next Adventure to MPM
Great staff. Wonderful restrooms. Great Ship store!
The staff are fantastic!
New marina is beautiful and staff are super helpful. The marina is easy to enter and exit for fuel or docking. Asado Life restaurant opens soon and based on my experience at their other location, I'm sure it will be great.
Lovely place. The fairways are nice and wide. The lighting is bright and comfortable. We felt safe and secure. No concerns about tripping over anything because we couldn’t see. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Had a great time. Vance and Dana.
