Report Review

I cannot say enough about how nice this place is. Collin met us at the dock, helped us tie up and get connected to power, and welcomed us like family. And the next morning, Bob checked in when he saw me outside just to ensure everything was okay and that we were happy. The marina is small and transient only - 14 days max - but it's set in the most beautiful spot next to the coolest town I have visited in a very long time. And it's just a stone's throw from the ICW. In town you will find several restaurants and bars including Seagles Restaurant and Saloon where I had the best fried shrimp I've had since I was a kid in South Louisiana - and on night two, we got to hear live acoustic music from Colby Word of Whiskey Heart. There's also "Farm to Family" a small shop that sells some awesome locally-grown produce and products. And as if that wasn't enough, there's the Submarine Museum - pretty awesome. If you're up for it, you can take the ferry to Cumberland Island and see all the cool things out there as well, but we were pretty beaten down from non-stop cruising for many days and decided to forego another boat ride. Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the St. Mary's Little Theater. Built into a converted railroad workshop, this place is nothing short of awesome. They're doing a production of Gilligan's Island: The Musical in October and we are considering driving back just to see it... The marina office and "captain's lounge" is a house - an actual house. Here, you will find immaculate bathrooms with showers and a "living space" with a huge television, a couch, chairs...etc. There's also a coffee maker and a microwave. The marina rents golf carts by the day and has courtesy bicycles for use for free. And if you have dogs, the house has a huge yard (not fenced) for you to walk them in. Again, I cannot say enough about this marina - how nice it was, how cool the town was, and how awesome the staff and the townspeople are. I can guarantee you we will spend at least two nights here on ever trip we pass by. Thanks again, Collin and Bob! Hope we get to see you all again soon :)
