A favorite! Staff going way beyond in hospitality and helpfulness. Docks are new and sturdy. Shore facilities are in an older house the city repurposed, so bath/shower are standard residential type, which is a little weird, but clean well stocked. Nice lounge also. Free laundry and courtesy bikes, golf cart rental available.
The town is a gem. Giant oaks dripping with Spanish moss lining the streets, a lovely riverfront park, submarine museum. The newer Kraken Coffee & Kitchen has really good coffee and bakes their own goods; several other restaurants and boutiques along the Main Street. Go on a hunt to find the hidden Owls of St. Mary's or the self-guided history walk/tours.
More development in the works, so look forward to seeing more on our return trip north.
