Sabbathday Harbor |
A privately owned marina in Belfast, Maine. Providing boaters access to one of the most beautiful seaside villages on the East Coast. Boaters can enjoy a protected harbor and fantastic dining and shopping downtown. Brand new wave attenuating docks (2021)
Easy in, centrally located to down town Belfast. We were lucky to be there on a Thursday when there was a concert on the common, the last of the season. The owners were very delightful.
Excellent greeting/dock help upon arrival. Avoid outer pier as it's rock'n'roll. They kindly moved us to an inner slip. Dock & systems in great shape, showers clean. This is a great town, hopping busy, make sure to get dinner reservations. Coffee is hard to come by in the AM, have your own onboard. The river current is tricky with wind and tide. Great place - highly reco'!
Owner Paul and staff very helpful and accommodating. New docks. Enjoyed the small town, worth a visit
Belfast is definitely worth a visit. It is a charming town with restaurants, pubs, and shops. Also a great walking trail. Marina staff were very responsive and nice. The marina has solid power and good water. We were on the face dock, and you would not want to be there with a strong south to southeast wind. It would be very bumpy. There is a restroom available, but we did not use it. A coin laundry is located a few blocks up the street. All in all we had a great stay in Belfast.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Terrific location and a nice place to visit. Good facilities, close to laundromat, restaurants. Recommended!
Being on the south face was very rocky exposed to the choppy seas and wind.
Very nice managment and owner. Clean helpful, efficient and secure. An on shore wind can be a little rolly on the outside of the floating dock but it is well fended. Extremely convenient to town and has a great park at the top of the ramp especially if you are cruising with an animal.
Awesome marina.excellent service.very friendly.would stay there again anytime đź‘Ťđź‘Ť
Beautiful setting at the foot of a pretty town. Mike was friendly and helpful docking and getting situated after. We will visit again.
Very friendly place! Great service and easy walk to town.
Jack was great and we had perfect weather for our stay. (The wind was north and much of the dockage is exposed to the SE, so we were lucky.)
As always, wonderful overnight…Jack and Paul were helpful and accommodating.
We were met at our slip by a marina employee, Jack. We were very pleased with everything at the marina. Bathrooms/showers/docks were excellent! Very cute town with some memorable restaurants! So glad we stayed at Belfast Marina. We will be back! ;-)
A positive local touch steeped in the best of Maine culture - friendly and helpful, with sound rules but not intrusive or bothersome. The owner and dockmaster were supportive when weather changed plans and slip needs - simply good, honest people.
Really nice people, very friendly and helpful and accommodating. Made my stay very pleasant.
Paul and his team went out of their way to make sure our stay in Belfast was great.
Paul and Jack are excellent and made us very comfortable with a pending wind storm. Nice town.
Very helpful staff but the dock is highly exposed to open sea. Extremely rough dockage.
First class dock facilities. I'm guessing some future infrastructure (an office close by, VHF comms, better wifi)) are planned?? Love to return as Belfast is a gem!!
Beautiful spot. Convenient for provisioning with Cooperative store right up the road and Farmers market on Saturdays. Family run, friendly and helpful. Jack runs a great marina.
A pleasant spot to hang out in for a day or two, and to explore Belfast from. Proximity to town is excellent. Docks seem fairly new. Bathrooms and showers are fine. Jack the proprietor is very accommodating. There are no staff on-site but he is available by phone and will come to the marina if you need anything.
Nice facility and nice people running the marina. Belfast is also a nice walkable town with everything I needed within 10 minutes.
It's about the people there. They are absolutely fantastic. Thank you team and a special shout out to Jack BTW, very clean bathrooms and plenty of hot water and great water pressure.
Nice marina. Can get a bit rolly in the right wind but settles down at night. Owners and staff are nice. Everything is very close.
Safe, beautiful, and convenient location. Owners were terrific, very helpful!
Fun and helpful father-son owners; allowed me to over stay a bit and supplied a 50 amp adapter. Clean and well run. Close to all the town’s restaurants and shops; a worthy stop!
The owner met us on the dock and helped us get secured, answered the questions about the town and then recommended the best dish to order at the local Italian restaurant. He was right on all occasions!
Docks are great. Paul was excellent. He even took time out of his day to help us track down a boat part.
Thank you Paul for your great service and accommodations!
Great marina close to everything Belfast has to offer. Jaime and Jack were super helpful during our stay and accommodated us when we had to wait out a storm. Clean facilities, nice docks.
Nice marina, new floating docks Needs an internet upgrade
Paul the owner and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good operation.
The owners, PAUL and Katie, went out of their way to squeeze us in and make us feel welcome. Belfast Harbor is cute and dog friendly and restaurants Rich. We really enjoyed our stay
New docks, different than picture. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Would recommend. Nighthawk
Great smaller marina in Belfast, which is a tremendous town to provision, walk around, eat out at. Proprietor Paul has greatly improved this marina with a new wave attenuating dock on the bay side. Thank you Paul, we enjoyed our stay and your hospitality!
Belfast is a great harbor to visit as it is very boater friendly. This trip we were just looking for a spot to leave our center console, while we overnighted in a hotel for the week. and did day trips around the Penobscot . The nice surprise at Belfast Marina was they have a Coffee vendor, a Lobster Roll vender and an Ice Cream vendor right on site ! We would come down in the morning , grab a coffee and head out, sometimes getting a lobster roll on our return. The docks are designed to be removed in the winter, so they have several "joints" but were fine. Very nice visit. And for trailer boats, Belfast has a great ramp and temporary parking for Truck and Trailer.
