Founded in 1977, the Boston Sailing Center has become the most popular sailing school/sailing club in New England. The Center does not offer any transient mooring or dock space, but is a great place to organize a private charter, class, or membership.
The Center is open every day, 9am until sunset, during the regular season (early May through October). During the winter months we offer frostbite racing, navigation courses, seminars, social activities, and vacation charters in exotic locations.
Our facilities are unique - a Louisiana Riverboat berthed at Lewis Wharf on Boston Harbor. Just a short walk north of Faneuil Hall Marketplace, our floating classroom and clubhouse is an excellent venue for parties and other functions. We're also close to a wide variety of historical sites, restaurants, and pubs. Public parking is available nearby.
From the Riverboat, we enjoy unrestricted sailing along Boston's historic waterfront and beyond, including day sails among the beautiful Boston Harbor islands, overnight trips to Marblehead and longer sails to destinations like Provincetown, Martha's Vineyard and Newport.
