Start by contacting the marina in advance to confirm your reservation and receive specific docking instructions. As you get closer, reduce your speed to minimize wake and observe any signage for speed limits and directional instructions. Prepare your docking equipment, including fenders and lines, positioning fenders on the side that will face the dock. Assign roles to your crew for a smooth docking process, using the marina’s VHF channel for communication as needed.
