If you’re looking for a marina to call home in the Toms River area, look no further than Dillon’s Creek Marina. From the moment our band of six vessels arrived, we knew we were somewhere special.
The facilities are absolutely beautiful. The docks are immaculately maintained, the restrooms and laundry room are spotless, and the Captain’s Quarters is a gem. We hosted an entire dinner party there and it was a perfect setting, warm, comfortable, and welcoming in every way.
But the very best part? The people.
The tone was set immediately by Elliott and his sister Kaitlyn, whose warmth and genuine hospitality made our group of six boats feel right at home from the start. That spirit seemed to flow through everyone we encountered, from fellow boat owners to members of the Island Heights community who strolled by walking their dogs and stopped to say hello and chat. It was one of the most friendly and welcoming communities we have experienced anywhere along our travels.
And then there’s the setting itself. The view on Dillon’s Creek is simply spectacular, from breathtaking sunrises to stunning sunsets to abundant wildlife. Here’s something that surprised us: despite being nestled in a marsh and creek environment, we experienced zero mosquitoes or bugs of any kind, day or night. Elliott explained that the prevailing wind up the creek keeps the bugs at bay, and he was absolutely right. For anyone who has ever spent a night on the water in New Jersey in the summer, you know what a remarkable thing that is.
It is a gorgeous place to wake up and an even more gorgeous place to wind down.
We would 100% return to Dillon’s Creek Marina without hesitation.
