These moorings are spread out through Hyannis, Ma (Village of Barnstable).
LB is Lewis Bay, HP is HyannisPort, FH is Fish Hills.
The moorings are specific per location and are not all in the same mooring field/area. Mooring(s) are labeled with an orange stripe on the mooring ball for easy visual upon approach. They are also labeled with specific mooring ball number.
Fish Hills mooring (FH) is the inner most harbor mooring are and is small mooring field near Hyannis Inner Harbor.
Lewis Bay Moorings (LB) are located in Lewis Bay mooring area; off the Hyannis Yacht Club. Private Launch available but it is not associated with the Town. Fee for usage not determined by Town.
HyannisPort Moorings (HP) are located in HyannisPort mooring area; near Hyannis Port Yacht Club. Private Launch available but it is not associated with the Town. Fee for usage not determined by Town.
Important Note Again: Launch service that are not affiliated with the Town. There may be a fee for usage. Please check with the yacht club associated with the mooring to find out cost of service. Small vessel (dinghy storage) is based on availability for temporary tie up. User(s) should contact Bismore Park Marina, Hyannis 508-294-1450 in advance. Access to main street is in walking distance from Bismore Park Marina, Hyannis and Yacht Clubs. There are tons of shops, restaurants and boat yards in the area. Advise uber/taxi pick up from HyannisPort due to walking distance.
All moorings are located in close proximity to the Lewis Bay Approach Federal Channel .
Approach Hyannis from the HH buoy. Follow the federal channel into the inner harbor. Mooring fields are again separated by locations indicated above. See map/chart for more information. Requesting certain moorings is available when booking but not guaranteed. Due to reservations being under 1 (one) account bookings are based on availability overall and not certain location requests.

Fantastic. The whole team at the harbormaster’s office was nice and efficient.
When we arrived at the harbor there was thick fog. We requested help from the Harbor master and were told they couldn't get a boat out to us. We spent an hour on the phone with them trying to find the mooring they wanted to put us on. The nearby yacht club tried as well to no avail. After an hour the Harbor master came out and said that mooring was not right for our boat! They moved us to a mooring in the outer harbor which had no launch service. It was a 3 mile walk into town. We were virtually maroon as I didn't want to use the dinghy after dark.
I recently had the pleasure of mooring my boat Tipping Point at Barnstable Harbor (Hyannis Port) and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. The Harbor Master and their team truly went above and beyond in providing exceptional service. I was particularly impressed when they found my dinghy, which had gone adrift. Their prompt action and attention to detail saved me a lot of trouble and stress. The mooring itself was excellent, providing a secure and comfortable stay. I highly recommend Barnstable Harbor for anyone looking for a reliable and welcoming place to moor their boat. The dedication and professionalism of the Harbor Master and their team are second to none. Thank you for an outstanding experience!
