Report Review

We arrived in Early October 2021, and anchored in Grays Inn Creek. Took our dingy in looking for a place to go ashore. There was a gentleman whose boat was in Grays Inn Creek marina who said we could dock there. Another couple arrived shortly after stating the same thing. As we spent some time, the gentleman offered some help with our dingy engine and the couple stated we could use the facilities as their guests and offered up the code to the facilities. We were very impressed with how nice everyone was and accepted the offer. The next day, one of the owners Valerie came out and said we were not welcome at the dingy dock, did I mention their were no signs stating that sailors not staying at the Marina were not welcome at the dingy dock?! We told her upfront what we had been told by marina members, she said ok. Later that day when we dingy’d in she again in a harsher tone said we were not welcome and said we had not been truthful with her…..which we had. She went on to state sailors always come in and take advantage of their marina, bringing their dogs in to walk, etc and we all are not welcome ( guess they don’t like dogs either!!). I am a Naval Academy Graduate, a war veteran and have sailed around the world with my wife and have never been treated so poorly by a Marina. The people in Grays Creek are great, the businesses in Rock Hall are amazing and we loved Chester River Seafood . The Grays Inn Creek Marina is NOT a Marina for sailors…..steer clear, use the municipal pier, it is just as good as the marinas and you will not have to put up with their hassle!! This is my first negative Facebook review in 10 years….
