We have deep water moorings in the Back Channel off the shores of our Kittery Yard. With open (no bridges) access from the Gulf of Maine, our back channel is located off the north side of the mouth of the Piscataqua River across from Jamaica Island and past the entrance to Spruce Creek. Our mooring balls are white and stamped with the letters KPYY starting with number 1101 and consecutively through number 1143. Protected on three and a half sides, we are the most protected mooring field in the area and considered the areas primary hurricane hole. All of our moorings are granite blocks and ground tackle is inspected annually each spring.
Transient moorings are available for vessels up to 60 feet LOA. These moorings vary in availability and size. No launch service is provided so bring your dinghy. We have a dinghy dock and our restroom facility and shower is open 24/7. It is located at our front office entrance. A laptop; wireless access and coffee are available in the guest area. The yard is in close proximity to the fine restaurants of downtown Kittery (1.5 miles); the Kittery outlet malls (3 miles); and downtown Portsmouth (4 miles). Public dinghy docks are also available across the main river in Portsmouth if you choose to travel by water.
Great place to sit and relax and meet the 'famous' Jason. Enjoyed the dink ride to downtown Portsmouth NH with free docking just to the left of the park marina. Downtown Portsmouth has lots to do and see. Don't miss the restaurants along the water front by the tug boats.
