I have owned boats my whole life. I’ve been to some ok places that perform boat services and a bunch of terrible places as I’m sure many boat owners have. Without a doubt, Doug (Owner of Boat Tie Marine) runs a first class operation and incredible customer service. I have used him many times and have been ALWAYS completely satisfied. I live in Shreveport and have had friends take there boat to Doug all the way down in Lake Charles! In closing I would like to tell a story that really sums up Doug. I was fishing on a Saturday on Lake Calcasieu with an important client when my troll motor suddenly quit working. I called Doug on my cell phone and he told me to bring it in. Unfortunately I had to buy a new troll motor. Doug immediately installed the new troll motor and by that afternoon we were back on the lake fishing. My client and I had a great fishing trip all because of Doug. Even my client commented about “who would stop what they were doing on a busy Saturday to immediately install a troll motor?” I told him, “Doug from Bowtie Marine, that’s who”.

We have spent 4 wonderful days here at Bow Tie. Doug Shearman and his crew have done anything we asked of them. We are waiting for a part for our Perkins engine and he has been most helpfull. One of his crew took us shopping for some needed items and hardly would take a tip. The facilities are spotlessly clean and the store has basic supplies. Diesel cost one of the lowest prices we have paid. Having the Coast Guard next door helps make for a good night sleep. Wonderful southern hospitality. Capt. Doug is a delight to talk to and has a million stories. We highly recommend Bow Tie Marina.

Bowtie Marina is "FIRST RATE" in every category of boating; friendly and knowledgable staff, extemely clean facilities, easily accessible fuel pumps (gas and diesel) as well as waste pumping station; 30 and 50 amp hookups, fresh water, an onsite store; on call master boat technicians, 24-hour video surveillance and best of all the Coast Guard Headquarters for the Central Gulf Coast are "on site". The owner, Doug Sherman, will go out of his way to make your stay; no matter how short or long, one to remember. At the Bowtie, you learn what real southern hospitality is all about.
