We arrived at Stocking Island late afternoon and as it was our first visit here, happily reserved the weekly mooring ball to insure a spot in the busy Georgetown area. The ball had nice anti-chaffing protection on it - made it a little more challenging to pick up - but do-able. Had a very protected ball for the blow that came thru and were also really close to the Chat & Chill and cruiser activities.
Wonderful marina - we had an extended stay as we left our boat there to land travel for the holidays. Felt totally comfortable with this as staff kept an eye on her. Super staff at the marina keep everything running smoothly. Nice ship’s store, package receiving area and sailors lounge. Super clean restrooms and showers … Great Laundry with 3 new large size washers ($1.50 each) and dryers (0.75 each). We stayed there to provision for our trip south - Publix is an Uber ride away, as are Ace Hardware and propane refills. Downtown, brewery and CVS are walkable. Two great parks on the sides of the marina for exercise. One has a fenced dog park.
Enjoyed our stay - clean marina with good staff. Convenient to downtown restaurants and shops. Had groceries delivered to the dock from Publix !
Really enjoyed our stay here - Buck, the General Manager, and his team are amazing. Beautiful clean showers, nice porch area with grill and multiple restaurants within easy walking distance. A plus was the easy Uber transportation to visit Savannah and the Isle of Hope.
Awesome marina with great staff and amenities. Fuel, pump out and docking was easy with the help of Drew and his team. Office staff gave us a map and orientation of what to do on the island. Beautiful setting, restaurant on site. Pool and hot tub looked inviting - didn’t use but others were enjoying. Nice clean separate showers. Laundry convenient and clean. Enjoyed the free bikes to explore the island - loads of trials. And borrowed the free golf cart to zip into town and pick up some provisions. Highly recommend!
