This whole harbor is a hidden gem. We stopped here on our way to the Vineyard between a 0kt motoring day and a 30kt wild sail day. A great mooring spot, nice and quiet, secure from the weather in pretty much any direction. We didn't go ashore (needed to be up early to sail on for our itinerary) but loved the evening here in the cockpit. Would definitely revisit. And don't be afraid of the narrow channel in - it's well marked and simple to navigate, and the marina gave great specific instructions on where to go.
We weathered TS Elsa (July 2021) here and it was the perfect spot. Great marina accommodations - fuel, pump out, water, good docks, ice at a good price, clean heads with good showers. Plus the location is an easy walk to at least 5 restaurants at varying price points (easy pizza to nice night out), ice cream, a CVS, Stop&Shop for re-provisioning and more. Would 100% return, well worth the price.
Great service by phone in setting things up, good mooring (easy to find, minimal slime, had a pennant buoy) and was close to shore (though full disclosure, we didn't go in as we were late in/early out for our trip). A bit of noise from the shoreline live music, but hey, it was a Saturday night and so it goes. Would certainly stay again.
Great service, responsive launch, and a short walk to Ptown center. Would definitely return.
Overall good, but there were people setting off fireworks very early in the morning right next to the Harbormaster dock and no one told them to stop. I'm all for fun, but it did make the morning hard to enjoy.
Great mooring area, having the exact mooring to go to made it easy to settle in. Launch service was friendly and helpful - I needed to find a propane refill station within walking distance and they gave me great advice (the Building Center just near the public dock)!
Easy access to the city, good launch service, not too crowded.
