We arrived late after sailing and motoring for 6 hours from Waukegan to find that our assigned pier was occupied by another boat. No one was aboard this boat so we could not resolve the situation and had to dock elsewhere. No one was available in the harbor office or at Dockwa to help us.
The harbor and docks were nice. The bathroom and showers clean. The electronic gate keys did not work consistently. It took several attempts to open the gates at times. The only other issue is that we could not join the Wifi at all.
The harbor was excellent. We had four boats in our group and were given piers close to each other. The bathrooms were clean and warm. Everyone in our group enjoyed our stay and the other boaters around us were very welcoming. We will be back!
Pier E was fine. The gate on pier F was very hard to open and one of the showers did not function. So we had to get dressed and go to a different one. The latches on the bathrooms don’t close completely and if someone slams a door on another bathroom the latch can open. Most bathrooms do not have a shelf or table to put your things and the only hooks are too close to the shower.
