Champlin's is a great place. The staff were all helpful and professional. The grounds are well maintained and offer loads of amenities, we especially appreciated the free shuttle back and forth from town. The only reason I gave it a 4 was the fixed/stationary docks are pretty beat up and required a lot of fender management to feel comfortable that our hull wouldn't be dinged up. Otherwise it was a great stay.

If your expectations are aligned with what it is, this a great marina. It's not a place for high end amenities, but if you want an authentic New England feel the marina and surrounding area delivers with a great little beach steps away and close by access to fresh seafood, a couple of restaurants and other provisions. The Harbor Master and his team were very helpful from arrival through departure (including with first timers who had not docked stern-to before). Add to that a nice vibe on the dock with friendly, helpful neighbors. Be wary of potentially significant currents entering the harbor and negotiating the transient slips (made more of a challenge if the wind is brisk). Also of note, it's easy to pick up the Vineyard Transit Authority Bus in the parking lot and then easily get to other popular visit spots on the Island. Overall a great stay. We'll be back.
Friendly accommodating staff before, during and leaving visit. Clean comfortable bathrooms/showers. Well maintained docks.
The marina, and Island overall, are great. It is as advertised a beautiful, peaceful setting. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The only negative was the restroom facilities could use an update, and more regular cleaning/ resupply. And a couple showers, even if outdoor, would be nice. But we'll definitely visit again.
