Excellent as always. However, dock hand would not respond to many attempts to hail them on ch. 16 and 9. Finally reached them by cell phone. Dock hand explained that he had forgotten to take his radio with him (!).
Great docking help! Next time we’re stay more than one night.
Although the Marina should have been aware of our draft, 5’8”, when we docked at high tide we showed 1.7’ under the keel while the tide was falling. In the morning we showed 0.7’ under the keel and falling. When we backed out of the slip we had .04’. Had we not left earlier than planned we would have been stuck in the slip for several hours.
Basically no service, yet full service price. No dockhands. No hot water in restrooms, no paper towels. Docks are filthy with bird excrement.
Very competent dock hand; attentive. The presence of the obnoxious cigarette boats spoil the peace and tranquility. Can’t give 5 stars for that reason.
Slip assignment was too short and too narrow for our boat, 51’ Jeanneau sailboat. Dockhands did not work together well.
Always responsive and welcoming on the VHF. Dock hands are consistently knowledgeable and efficient. And the restaurant, Dry Dock is excellent.
Upon arrival made multiple attempts to call on the VHF. No response. We called the office on cell phone. We were immediately transferred to a person “who could help us out”. However, that call went straight to voice mail. This happened THREE times. We left messages each time, and continued to “hover” just outside the marina. Eventually we gave up and docked ourselves at a face dock. A person watching us from another boat jumped up to help with lines. The office manager told us we were fine where we were, but a couple hours later told us we had to move to the fuel dock. This time a dock hand materialized to help us move. We never received a call back from the voice mails I left. The docks themselves are generally OK, but the proximity of a nearby bridge creates an incessant din. No apology was offered by the manager, only defensiveness. She explained that the VHF “is broken”. We are once and done. Will not return.
