It was very good. Dock hand helped with docking. Excellent floating docks. Easy Uber ride to stores and downtown Annapolis.
Upon arrival made multiple attempts to call on the VHF. No response. We called the office on cell phone. We were immediately transferred to a person “who could help us out”. However, that call went straight to voice mail. This happened THREE times. We left messages each time, and continued to “hover” just outside the marina. Eventually we gave up and docked ourselves at a face dock. A person watching us from another boat jumped up to help with lines. The office manager told us we were fine where we were, but a couple hours later told us we had to move to the fuel dock. This time a dock hand materialized to help us move. We never received a call back from the voice mails I left. The docks themselves are generally OK, but the proximity of a nearby bridge creates an incessant din. No apology was offered by the manager, only defensiveness. She explained that the VHF “is broken”. We are once and done. Will not return.
The staff are very nice, and though there was some initial confusion about our reservation, they made it right. Showers were clean and spacious. Next time, we'll try the restaurant nearby.
This is one of the cheapest marinas in the Annapolis area, and is a good value. The location isn’t great and lacks some major amenities for the cruiser, but overall delivers if you need a dock and shorepower. The marina staff is laidback and flexible. Fuel is also well priced. There’s an anchorage outside of the marina, however the marina will ask you to pay a dinghy fee if you start coming to the dinghy dock frequently. There’s a pool and bathrooms, however, no laundry and grocery shopping requires a Lyft ride to Edgewater. (There’s a West Marine, grocery store and KMart adjacent to each other in Edgewater.)
I was a Transient at Liberty Marina this past summer and they were excellant!! We were only planning on staying a weekend and ended up staying for a little over a week. The People were soooo nice and friendly and welcoming. They have 2 locations of showers and bathrooms that were really, really nice and clean! The customer service was GREAT!!! If we needed anything they helped us out with all of it. They had a BBQ on the friday nights that was just a blast! We all pulled out our banjos and were singing and eating from the grill and I cant wait to go back! It is so easy to get to and they had EVERYTHING we needed! GREAT GREAT GREAT place! We will be going back and recomend it for everyone!
