The dockmaster was very accommodating, helping with our lines on the dock and with our reservation from a waitlist. The club is a fantastic location near all the action and the water was swimmable off the back of the boat. The shoreside facilities were restricted due to COVID but the bathrooms were clean and air conditoned. Plus the launch hours were generously late for lingering in town.
Great spot! Jim and his crew keep the facilities in terrific shape, very helpful from the dock to the clubhouse and beyond. Cleanest showers ever with a/c. Bocce court, Cornhole, lots of outdoor seating, good views of the Sound, no food service, but a bar coming in 2020! Branford was a quick ride away and we enjoyed the Shoreline Trolley museum. Location on north side was convenient and the marina had good breezes and only a little wave action in SW winds.
Frank, the owner, is friendly and terrific; bath/showers were clean, spacious, and felt new; short walk to Cap Cove. We ride-shared to other places, not much else in walking distance. Surrounding area is industrial, location is up the river without much breeze but very calm water and quiet. Breakfast spot next door closed weekends.
