Great stop. Nice walk. Great ice cream. Great general store. We’ll be back.
There's not enough space here or words in the English language to describe what an overwhelmingly great experience we had at the Coveside. Lynette, the manager, is one of the kindest and most generous people we have met in our travels. She runs an excellent operation that is not only appreciated by the customers but valued and respected by the staff who are happy and eager to be of service. The catalyst for this glowing review was a medical emergency that we endured while staying on a Coverside mooring. Not only did Lynette go above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety, she made it clear that our focus should be on getting healthy. (The only thing she didn't do was go to medical school and treat us while on the boat...we are not holding this against her.. :)) Additionally, the people in Christmas Cove and South Bristol bent over backwards to help in any feasible way, including offering their homes for recuperation. We remain overcome with gratitude, so much so that we are looking for real estate in the area, In the more generic review, I would add that this a great place to hang out, beautiful setting, great protection, great food, sweet little town and nice hiking in the area. This is a spot that should not be missed and you'll soon see why it will become your home away from home. With unending gratitude...
Early lobstermen made things pretty rolly but the blueberry muffins in the morning was a nice touch.
Great folks. Good rate for the mooring. Clean shower. Nice walk to town.
If you’re looking for a marina that greets you with a chorus line of dock hands, you’re in the wrong place. If you’re looking for a family run place with owners who know boats and customs service, look no further. Despite what he would tell you, Frank (owner and knower of all things Marine-like) is a great guy and an enormous resource for local knowledge and boat systems. If you prefer to be spoiled with marina and boat knowledge and expertise, you’ve arrived. We’ll be back next year. Thanks, Frank, for your hospitality and generous assistance.
