Love this marina! Great location - excellent facilities - awesome staff. Doesn't get much better. Thanks again to EJ and the rest of the team! June 2022 - Another great experience at Safe Harbor Mystic. What's not to love about this facility! EJ was again on hand to help us get Banshee berthed in a great slip with access to all amenities. If you are planning a trip to Mystic, this is the spot. Easy access to downtown or a little bit down river to Ford's for lobster plus. Gracious service, clean as a whistle, everything you could want or need. Can't wait to return!
I have a hard time saying enough about this marina. Absolutely FIRST CLASS facilities! From our arrival with three boats to our sad departure 3 days later, we all agreed that this is the benchmark for Service and Cleanliness. We were welcomed by James who handled all of our docking needs and acclimated us to the marina and area. The entire area is spotless. Pool, rest rooms, common areas etc. Even the pump out boat was on time and you can “text” them for service! They provide shuttle service to town and JoJo the driver was awesome - filling us in on the local scene. We can’t wait to return and hope to become regular visitors to this wonderful facility!
Talk about service! We reserved a slip for a round trip sail from Noank to Essex. Wind, current and rough seas delayed our arrival until late on Friday night. To make matters worse, our engine quit while only a few yards off the dock but with no sails up, or wind, we were in a tough spot. Luckily, Christian responded to our hail even though the office had closed. As we started drifting off into the night (and the mooring field!) Christian told us to hang on and he would track down a work boat and assist. Just in the nick of time, he appeared out of the dark and shepherded us into a slip. No small feat! I'm sure there are many facilities and personnel who, given the circumstances, would have simply told us to drop the hook and wait until morning. We were on an 18' Goldeneye with no head and wet from head to toe. Incredible service above and beyond! I'll never stay anywhere other than Essex Island while sailing in the area. What a fine organization!
