Peter and his team at Spring Point Marina are exceptional! We first saw the marina in the Waterway Guide but we were concerned about depth. A quick call to Peter confirmed that indeed, they did have the depth to accommodate our 6.5 foot draft. When we mentioned to Peter that we might need to find a ride down to Logan Airport in Boston (over 2 hours away) Peter quickly added that they could help us. SO GREAT! We spent 9 days with the team at Spring Point Marina, which included a quick trip home to the west coast to check on things. And Peter's team did indeed drive us to Boston. AMAZING! Our boat is a heavy Nordhavn trawler and Peter arranged for us to be in a sturdy inside slip, which was terrific. We also used the marina's courtesy car to go to the grocery store and reprovision for our next month's travels - so very appreciated! We didn't eat at the restaurant onsite but it looked terrific. The location in South Portland is walkable to a few restaurants and is a $9 Uber ride to downtown. Or use the courtesy car! Even better! While we were gone the team kept a sharp eye on our boat, and we felt comfortable knowing that this group of knowledgeable, friendly people were watching out for us. Overall, an incredible experience, with awesome people and a great marina. We will be back!
We so enjoyed our four nights in Gloucester's Inner Harbor. The launch drivers are full of great local info, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Access to the dock with our dinghy was also easy and we were able to dispose of trash as well. We had a 40 knot thunderstorm roll through during our stay and the mooring held perfectly - and we are a 55 Nordhavn so there is some weight involved! Provisioning is easy, restaurants are great, and the people all around town are lovely. A local boater gave us a ton of intel on Maine (where we were headed) and even loaned us a guide book! A great visit - we'll be back!
The Plymouth harbormaster team is welcoming, kind and incredibly accommodating. They moved boats about to allow us to use one of their heavier moorings and met us as we came in to guide us to the mooring. Launch service is included in the fee and Paul, who ran the launch in the afternoon was super helpful to my dad who has mobility challenges. Even with an impending thunderstorm, Paul was kind and took the time to make sure everything worked for us. A great stay! We will be back!
