Onset is the Jewel of Wareham. A hidden gem and a beautiful place. Well protected from the busy Hog Island channel. Moorings are my favorite but there are 5 slips with power, water, and pump-out on new docks. There is a market, a hardware store, Quahog Republic restaurant, and Marc Anthony's pizza all next to the pier. Public bathrooms, no showers, efficient launch service, dinghy dock. I love this place!
Mattapoisett is a lovely harbor, wide open to Buzzards Bay. We were fortunate to have calm conditions for the weekend, this is not always so here. There is a launch service, a dinghy dock, and a pub with decent food.
A beautiful and peaceful place. Not many transients and the slip owners were quiet and respectful during the day, and gone at night, which made for a very restful stay. Close to Mama Mia's restaurant which I love! Marine hardware store on site. Quaint Brant Rock, a short walk away, has a market, a large marine hardware store, a great breakfast place called HOP, and others. The staff, Jason, and everyone, was helpful and friendly. Bathrooms and showers were not fancy but just fine. I will make this scenic place one of my regular stops.
I enjoyed our stay. Three restaurant choices in sight. Less than half a mile walk to the supermarket, liquor store, hardware store. Nice walking along the canal.
Lovely place. Great, clean, air conditioned showers with lots of hot water at high pressure. Free laundry. Free pump-out. Dockmaster Jay is very helpful.
