We have seasonal mooring rentals with unlimited launch service as well as many guest moorings for an overnight stay or longer. We haul and store about 250 sail and power vessels for the off-season.
Large harbor with space between boats for privacy. Launch service very accommodating and showed us everything we needed. Town dock has bathrooms open 24 hours and pump out station. Little town was charming with an Inn that had good and filling food. Ice cream shop as well. Will definitely make this a regular stop on our way in and out of Buzzards Bay.
Always accommodating and always excellent - quick and free launch
Beautiful harbor. Great marina with friendly staff very helpful competent. Greatest spot on Buzzards Bay.
Inexpensive and well protected. Good communication through dockwa app. Facilities are basic with outside shower. Launch service provided. Like everywhere else in New England launch will point out your mooring but otherwise stand by (i.e. not help you tie up). This seems to be market practice. Moorings looked very solid. Guest moorings are orange to port upon entering
Easy access great place for our 1st stop on the way to Virginia Stopped here on the way home to Gloucester. Great stop easy access moorings are well marked and well maintained
MBY has become a must-stop on my annual cruises for some years now, it has everything I want....great location, simple but nice and clean facilities, and a quiet and beautiful town nearby to walk around and explore. The best part is the friendly and helpful team which makes the yard seem like family. This year I had some minor engine problems and the crew dropped everything to help me out and get me going on the rest of my trip. Great place!
excellent people and launch drivers. awesome town. mooring was in excellent condition. the only negative is the shower. there is only one. it is open air and very rustic, like you would expect in a cabin in the woods. water not very hot. it also had a large assortment of used bar soaps and shampoos left by previous users. so it obviously had not been cleaned by the staff for a some time. pretty gross.
Beautiful stay. Very peaceful when the SW doesn’t kick up. Launch drivers were friendly and very accommodating. We were passing through and stayed 2 nights.
Good moorings, make good sleep. Nice dinghy dock at the boat yard and there is a launch service even though we didn't require it.
The launch crew were great and accommodating. WE stay until Sunday, and the harbor was very nice in the evenings, though a bit rolly during the day.
Awesome service. Moorings suitable for any size vessel and courteous staff.
Prompt and courteous launch service. Well spaced moorings allow for much more privacy than in most of the neighbouring marinas. Very picturesque.
Mattapoisett is a lovely harbor, wide open to Buzzards Bay. We were fortunate to have calm conditions for the weekend, this is not always so here. There is a launch service, a dinghy dock, and a pub with decent food.
The boatyard directed us to the visitors moorings. The harbor is very nice, protected and very few fishermen to roll past you early in the morning. Had a great sleep. Visitors are directed to register with the Harbourmaster. Ince that is done, your dinghy is permitted to tie up at the public wharf free for 3 days. The downside to Mattapoiset is the lack of amenities. There is no grocery store nearby, no laundry service, both of which we needed. The people at the Harbourmaster office where very friendly. It is a nice place to unwind.
Our mooring in Mattapoisett was well built and secure, if a bit bumpy with the prevailing SW wind. Launch service can take some time as it appears there are two launchs to service approximately 600 moorings. That said, the launch operators responded promptly and picked folks up in the order in which they called. This is also a very large harbor. Personell at Mattapoiset Marine we’re very helpful and the rates were the best we received on our two week cruise.
Beautiful harbor, large secure moorings, friendly courteous staff. It’s not the Ritz, but comfortable (unless the wind blows from the southeast.
Great Stay! Very nice harbor, not a lot to do ashore. We radioed MBY upon entering the harbor and were instructed to find an open orange mooring on our port side, of which there were none available. We did find an open orange mooring further in, on our starboard side, which turned out to be a great location. Took the launch service into shore and had an ice cream a the shack on the town pier, just a short walk away. There is not much in walking distance from the drop off point, the ice cream shack, a general store, an inn with a restaurant and a spa. The harbor was quiet and we had a great rest. My only real complaint is that the morning launch driver was going too fast for my liking and throwing some wake fairly early.
