Had an excellent stay after a less than satisfying experience with Pilots Point!! Great marina and will be back.
Safe Harbors Pilots Point has really gone downhill. When the Brewer family had 100% control of the marina it was a much friendlier place. Now with the acquisition, the down to earth feel has gone out the window and the corporate mumbo jumbo has been ushered in. We tried to make a reservation and could not get a straight answer if they had room, and when we came to the fuel dock we were saddened to see that Max was not there anymore. In previous visits Max is what made us want to come back! So with him gone we were not too thrilled. With that being said, we were rubbed the wrong way and proceeded to Clinton and had a wonderful stay at a marina there (I will refrain from stating the name, but it is the biggest in Clinton.) If you want a down-to-earth feel then proceed elsewhere!
