This marina has great amenities. The Bacardi Social restaurant was good and right on the property. The staff is excellent here! From docking, fueling, ice runs, golf cart pick up. Outstanding!

Pilots Point is a wonderful first class marina. Dock hands are great, professional and courteous. All that and just a short dinghy ride to Bill’s Seafood.

Best facilities in the sound, pool and tennis courts with space even during the open🤪. Okay then the marina is shallow but has the softest mud! Great staff and cool local food

The depth of the entrance proves to be too shallow for a 10’ draft. But when we finally were able to clear in, the marina manager was very helpful. He was truly exceptional.

Marina is enormous. Plenty of staff and very clean. Bar and restaraunt on premises and a lot of dining near by. Live music outside for happy hour. Barbecues available great family destination.

Enjoyed our stay here (as usual). We found our slip to be a bit distant from the fuel dock area, so when a preferred location opened up we happily relocated and all went well. We will be back !

We ran into an unexpected challenge with our vessel and Kip and his crew swarmed us with incredible support. FAST, courteous, high quality, and quite frankly, in my 30 years of boating, somewhat surprising. They turned a ruined vacation and down hard for 2 weeks, into a one day issue they easily resolved. It was incredible. Chris the dockmaster, Dan and his team operating the lift, and everyone in between...INCREDIBLE. Thanks guys!

This is a great spot to stay in. The facilities are large and very clean. The staff is very nice and helpful. We got some work done while we were staying, and the technical staff, Tom and Paul were extremely helpful to make it seamless and easy. Very much recommend for a place to stop and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and plenty of good restaurants nearby.

Got in after the early 1600 closure and left in the early morning before opening, but Sarah provided a marina map via text and was very helpful. Will be back!

Very nice marina. Very clean. Dockhands very helpful. We pumped out and got fuel. The marina is very large. Nice areas to walk along the ocean as well as within the marina. Restaurant in the marina was closed when we were there at the end of April. There are a couple of restaurants within a mile of the marina - we did not try them so unable to comment. No gate at the dock but marina is secured at both entrances by a key card. We saw an active security presence within the marina after 5:00 PM.

We had to arrive after everyone had gone home at the dock, so the Dockmaster let us know where we could tie up for the night and have power. A very nice person going home late from the accounting office gave us a ride to a nearby restaurant. A treat after a rough cold day. Thanks everyone. Service department took care of a problem that wasn’t fixed right in Newport and did a great job at a reasonable price. What more can you ask. The dock crew was great as usual.

A great facility! Small craft advisory on the Sound, but calm as a mill pond inside. And Kip and Dave did a GREAT job diagnosing and fixing a persistent problem with my alternator.

We are giving the marina five stars because Jack, the dockmaster, did a great job helping us dock during the storm. He is a very knowledgeable dockhand who knows what he is doing. We appreciated his communication and professionalism. Thank you, Jack.

Good, except they located us at a dock then put another boat behind us blocking our early morning departure. We had to untie, unplug, then swap the boat locations the evening before departure. The reconnect the power. We were disappointed that laundry facilities were not available on site.

We had a great experience at Safe Harbor Pilots Point. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Next time we will make use of the pool. Additionally, they offer so much; restaurant, grills, basketball court, playground for kids to name a few. We will definitely be back.

What a huge place and kept in beautiful shape. Dock staff didn't do their homework and moved us twice to another dock, actually three times. The two dock hands were very courteous and helpful, I just don't know why they didn't check their records when I hailed them. No big deal, but they left so fast I didn't have a chance to tip them. I guess a lot of boats were coming in at that time..

We just stayed for one day on our way from Warwick, RI to a trip up the Hudson; but, it was excellent. Chris guided us to our slip via VHF and Vinny and Ian were there to get us secured. Helpful and cheerful dock hands are always a plus. Ian drove us on the shuttle service to nearby Old Saybrook for shopping and dinner. Facilities are spotless. As Safe Harbor members the stay was free! Highly recommended.

We needed a marina for a Safe Harbor due to an impending storm. We were welcomed in and the docking staff was at the dock waiting to help us tie up. The Marina courtesy van took me out to pick up our dinner and the facilities were clean and top notch!! We will definitely be returning.

Stayed here over 4th of July. Dock staff were fantastic, got us right into our slip and took us to grocery store in their shuttle. Marina is clean and well maintained. Pool area was nice and clean. Had a coolant leak, the service staff looked at it, found the problem and overnighter the parts to get me going the next day. Fantastic service all around! We'll be back!

We arived an we're assisted in docking our boat. Everything went smoothly. We had a nice dip in the large pool and a nice hot shower. We then used the marinas grill to cook dinner. Everything was perfect. Great and courteous staff was welcoming.

@hughestdavid I have been keeping my boat here for 5 years now and have had nothing but an excellent experience. I agree, it is an amazing place to stay. I love taking a dip in the pool on a hot sweaty day or relaxing by the new firepits. Sara was extremely nice; however, I have had a very different experience with the dock boys. They have catered to any need without question and seemed to have great personalities. I have never been unable to find an open grill. (And I grilled every Saturday night for the past 5 years). Regarding the flag I have seen it flown from 7:30am to 7pm every day. I've seen them take the flags down many times, often they patriotically fold the flag while singing the national anthem! You must have caught them on a very very bad day because they are very well trained and respect the flag.

What a great Staff! They are always on the Docks lending a hand. Friday night band/happy hour was fun! The Saturday night end of the Season pig roast was superb! Transients are made to feel welcome, including receiving a bag with events info. Beautiful Marina!!!! This is what a Safe Harbor should be!!

Very large marina....restaurant on the premises....gas grills...nice reck room....good place to go poking around with a dingy....rest rooms and showers were very clean....dock staff were very helpful. Nice place to visit

Was an awesome place to stay, Enjoyed the pool Fire pit area, club house and programs, also the local restarunts. Sara was nice, dock boys not friendly or seemed to lack personality(snobish). Wish there was one more grill supplied for grilling there was a long wait with many people waiting to use 2 grills in pick nick area. The 3rd grill was was disabled and abbandoned long ago. Was sad to see they had very little respect for the American flag never flown until late morning or early afternoon and when not flown was crumpled in a ball on the gas dock office table. When carrying the flag through the marina the dock hand threw it over his shoulder. So sad to see no respect, obviously not trained properly. Otherwise nice facility, clean, well maintained.

What a great location and ship shape clean marina. Live all the dock interconnect. No need to go inland to get anywhere unless you want a quick cut thru. Super friendly staff and accommodating , nice touch with the welcome bag delivers to the dock. Grills were great plentiful and quality with plenty of space and views showers and bathrooms were county club quality. We will be back!!

The fuel dock personnel are nothing but stellar at their jobs. Super friendly and always willing to do whatever it takes to make my stay there the best in the area The pool makes it feel like I'm at a resort. It would be nice if there were laundry facilities as described in Dockwa.

Very clean marina. Friendly and professional staff. Nicest marina I have been to in the North East. Only issue was we ran aground (sailboat with 7ft draft) trying to get to the fuel dock at low tide.. But this is outside their control. Marina staff was very helpful in this situation.

Wide fairways and nicely marked slips made docking easy. Also enjoyed the pool and bathroom facilities. Will be back!

GREAT visit at Pilots Point! The staff is AMAZING. Thanks to Sara, Jack, Chris, Isabel and the entire team (can't remember all the names) for the docking help and responses to all our questions. They made us feel like truly valued guests. And the facilities -- pool, showers, outdoor tables & chairs, BBQ grills, fire pits -- are perfect. Great onsite restaurant, too.

Great management of this location!! We were pleasantly greeted, assisted with fuel and docking. We could not have asked for better service. Warning if walking west, ask the marina the shortest route as GPS didn't help us here.

Great marina. Clean bathrooms and pool facilities. Close to restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. The price of gas was misrepresented as “including tax.” When we went to pay they added tax. This adds up when buying hundreds of dollars worth of diesel.

A great marina with many amenities and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. On our arrival, the crew was there to assist us with docking. The grounds are spotless and restroom facilities are super clean. There are gas grills placed throughout the marina and a short walk will take you to the town beach. We have been here several times and always have had an enjoyable stay.Great job Sarah!

Fine facility, welcoming and helpful staff.

We visit Pilots Point every year and as always our stay was perfect! The staff was great once again and we happened to be in port during "pirates week". They put on a scavenger hunt that you did via tender followed by pizza and prizes, and needless to say it was a fantastic time! On another note I was in Mystic the night before and had a bilge pump go out. I left a VM for the parts department the night before for the part I needed and it was at Pilots Point.....GREAT Service!

We had an excellent stay at Pilot’s Point. We traveled there with two other boats and they were able to accommodate us and keep us all together on the same dock. The dock staff was friendly and helpful. The marina has so much to offer and is beautifully maintained. The marina is very organized and well run, which is hard to find, especially for a marina their size. We are looking forward to coming back. Thank you for a great visit.

Nice marina; laundry facility is missing.

Pilots Point is usually a 5 star experience, but today was an exception. For some reason there was only 1 person dock staff person on the grounds. As a result no one was able to assist on the dock catching lines. Got my 45' sailboat into the slip alone fine despite midslip pilings and minimal horizontal clearances, but it was not the typical Pilots Point service. An anomaly I'm sure, but...

Great place! Definitely be back. Only thing missing is a coffee/breakfast spot at the marina.

Needed to have garbage bins on docks. The playground needs to be fixed and updated. The bathrooms and showers are extremely clean but are outdated. There needs to be a clubhouse on the south side. Pool was large and clean.

The staff and facilities were great!

Quick and easy access from the Sound. The team saved our bacon when we called them late in the day with a problem with our sailboat while heading down the Sound and needed after-hours docking and next day engine repair (alternator was not charging the batteries). They were helpful and unbureaucratic, even offering free shuttle to supermarket for provisioning, and the yard team found and fixed the problem in an hour. Having a good restaurant on-site was a plus. This place has everything - except, inexplicably, laundry facilities.

Stayed here one night while transiting east. Very nice facility with pleasant helpful staff, nice bath facility, popular restaurant. Pretty easy docking for transients.

The staff was so nice in the docks and the restaurant which just opened two weeks ago was great as well. The was a wedding going on so the restaurant was closed Saturday, however we enjoyed the band from the boats!!! We will be back!

Nce place, but I was unable to use the Wi-FI, and wasted an hour trying to get connected and set up a dockwa acct. Dock hand finally had to do it for me on the office computer. Never did get connected, and their Wi-Fi interfered with my own cell data, frustrating debacle. Especially when paying high rates.

Amazing location. Lots to do. Channel entering and exiting very narrow and poor location for fuel station. Difficult to find someone in main office. Was not provided WiFi password.

This was our first visit to Pilots point and it wont be our last. This marina is fantastic! Upon arrival and calling the dockmaster we were immediately greeted in the harbor by a small tender that took us to our spot, we came in with 4 boats at the same time. The 2 deck hands were prompt and got us all tied up quickly. Each slip has a dock box, power, hose, etc, the docks themselves are beautiful with a composite type decking and well maintained. We were on M dock right near the bathrooms and pool. The bathrooms were clean and had 3 toilet stalls and 4 showers, you could smell the bleach in the morning, they kept them very clean. behind the bathrooms there is a nice pool with lounge chairs. There is another pool on the other side of the marina as well which is a little more updated, but our kids didnt care. Behind the pool is a nice pavilion with tables and grills, then a large playscape for the kids. This is a great marina to have a dinghy if you want to explore, or take it to the other pool. We also went up into the march for miles, the kids loved it, and its a short ride to Bills seafood for dinner or icecream. They also have a free shuttle which took some people tot he outlets and back which was very nice. next time we come back it will be for 3 days, this place is fantastic!

Doc hands need to tie the line to the cleat - not hold it, especially in a wind, a slip too small and in tight quarters. Such was our issue. Everything else was just perfect. Wish the restaurant was open longer. Security Guard was very nice and helpful.

Great facility. They have everything! Had a refrigerator malfunction. They had a repairman on the dock when we arrived. Everyone was pleasant and professional. We go there every year!

excellent service and nice facility

The check in process was efficient since they had our arrival on record and we prepaid. The overall marina conditions were fine. However, we received absolutely no attention. There were no dock hands to help us into the slip, no one greeted us and no one gave us the “lay of the land “....things to do and see, restaurants, facilities, etc. We’ll give other Safe Harbor marinas another shot, but we won’t be returning to Westbrook. Cedar Island marina and in Clinton, CT is just west of here and is much friendlier and helpful.

My husband and I love staying at Safe Harbor Pilot's Point! It's clean, the employees are friendly, the views are amazing, and there's a lot do within walking distance. The property is well maintained and we hope to visit again next year!

Just want to take a minute to say how incredibly happy we are with the work these men have done on our 39' Cal! A complete redo on our mast, bottom painting, wax & shine, pump replacement etc. A shout out too Bill the painter, Brain & JC (rigging & electrical) and of course Justin the Assistant Manager! Great place, very accommodating with a superb dock staff !

SHPP is a great marina with a friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are immaculate and the pool is refreshing. My granddaughters loved the playground not far from the pool and Liv's Restaurant located in the marina serves up a great lobster roll.

Very nice marina the staff is amazing, they came out with skiff to escort us in.

We sailed to Pilots Point unexpectedly for repairs. We'd been there several times before and always had good experience. Outboard of 25 years finally gave out and Dean, the service manager could not have been more gracious. The courtesy extended by all was above and beyond but a big thanks to Dean.

Great marina! Very professional and helpful staff. Spent a few hours in beautiful pool That was not crowded on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The docks are in great condition and there is no wave action at all within the marina And no noise so you sleep very Here. Overall I give this marina two thumbs way up !

We love this marina and visit every year. This time we were late in the season (last week of September). We understand about the pools being closed and even the restaurant being closed for the season. But it was a bit much that the A/C in the lounge and rest rooms was shut down already. We had unseasonably warm weather during our stay and the lounge in particular was too hot to use.

Boatyard staff were very helpful over phone prior to visit and when arrived and left. Very nice bathrooms/showers too. Highly recommended!

Pilot's Point is a first class marina. Staff provides excellent service. Good restaurants are nearby within a nice walk. When mechanical help is needed, they are competent, caring about your wish to get back on the water as soon as possible. Access off the Long Island Sound is so easy and close, yet the marina is well protected no matter from which direction the weather comes. I could say more good things. But you get the picture.

Not my first time and as always the staff and facilities are awesome. Michealla can handle a dock line like few can and she’s knowledgeable and professional. Justin stepped right in to handle the stern line even though he was done working for the day. Says a lot about the staff that they are always “on” and how well they work together. Beautiful grounds, docks and facilities. Always a pleasure to arrive at Pilots Point. Thanks all.

This was our first time to Pilots Point and it didn’t disappoint. We came in with 3 other boats and they were able to get us all together. The grounds were beautiful. The docks were new and bathrooms very clean. The kids had a blast in the pool and playground. We will definitely be coming back!

Great, knowledgeable staff. Lovely property to walk around. Even though we didn't use it, the courtesy shuttle was a plus.

Facilities and staff more than met our expectations

Very nice stay. Only downside, the restaurant didn't serve alcohol and no volume discount for diesel at the fuel dock.

Pilots Point Marina was exceptional! We arrived a little early (noon) to get ahead of the weather and the staff were accommodating and helped us refuel and get settled. The girls shuttled us to a nearby restaurant on Saturday evening in the courtesy van and went out of their way to come back and pick us up. We really enjoyed the weekend, This was our second time visiting and Pilots Point continues to be an exceptional facility with awesome staff!

Beautiful spot! Needs a better handicapped shower. Had person traveling with us who needed A) a seat and B) a spray hose due to a medical condition
