Been coming here on and off for 30 years. The restaurant Salt has delicious food and drink, pool is uncrowded, clean and staffed by a wonderful lifeguard, bathrooms and showers are clean. Some of the younger dock crews should be a little better supervised especially on how to tie a boat to the pilings. Both stern lines were tied with loops that would only hold under constant pressure and these were not. As such when the lines were pulled they unwound from the pilings offering no holding power.
Spent 2 nights Memorial Day weekend. Very organized helpful staff. Right in town for convenience. Separate restrooms and showers for boaters. Great public marina. After an 8 day trip our last stop was Mitchell's before heading home even though we were here just a few weeks ago. Have such a good time here we asked to stay an extra day and even though it necessitated some juggling of reservations in the office we were accommodated. Great that the pump out boat is located here for easy scheduling also .
Dockhand met us at our reserved slip and had an electrical adapter ready for us . Breezy conditions so no mosquitoes . Had a great rum punch at the outdoor bar to live music and a lobster roll the next day for lunch at the restaurant. Add in the ocean beach just over the boardwalk plus wildlife and it makes for a great weekend.
3 generations of my family have been coming here and the facilities just keep getting better. The dock staff have always been first rate and that hasn’t changed. Consider Sunday Brunch at Griswalds , excellent.
