Large mooring field in a gorgeous setting, with easy access to two dinghy docks, one in front of The Oar restaurant, and a nice new one over by Dead Eye Dick's. Water available attached to a piling just south of the new dinghy dock near the boat ramp. New Harbor mooring field gets completely filled up during peak season on the weekends, and beware the obnoxiously loud music from Champlin's Marina.
Good holding, gorgeous surroundings. It can get extremely lumpy and uncomfortable, even when the wind is from the west through south, but definitely worth checking out if you can't find space in Cuttyhunk Pond.
Have not anchored here but have utilized the moorings on a few occasions. Extremely well protected with easy to grab "stick" type mooring balls. Easy access dinghy dock. Highly recommend this mooring field as well as the island gem itself.
