About

Beaufort Town Docks is one of the most popular stops for cruisers and sailors traveling the Intracoastal Waterway. This all-transient marina features 42 floating docks accommodating vessels up to 55 feet, along with over 850 linear feet of side-tie dockage for vessels up to 250 feet. Every slip offers fuel service directly at the dock for maximum convenience. Ideally positioned for coastal cruising, Beaufort serves as a strategic gateway to the islands, with the Gulf Stream typically just 30 miles offshore—making it an excellent stop for both short stays and offshore passage planning. No marina is closer to the inlet or the exceptional dining, shopping, and attractions of historic downtown Beaufort.

For Day Dock usage please use coupon code "DAYDOCK" at check out. This will result in your 1st 3 hours free, after 3 hours the reservation will be charged a nightly rate of $1.95/ft Day Dock is limited to vessels up to 35 feet and the 6 slips inside the first west dock.

New management is making improvements. Dock staff is very helpful. Fuel was not available but referral to a neighboring facility solved that problem. Restrooms remain crude. But overall, a good experience. We'll be back and look forward to new management's continued progress.

Marina Response:
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear our dock staff made a positive impression and that the fuel situation was resolved with help from a neighboring facility—that’s exactly the kind of teamwork we aim for. We also appreciate your honest feedback about the restrooms. Improving those facilities is a priority for our new management team, and updates are already in the works. It’s great to know you had an overall good visit, and we truly appreciate your support as we continue making improvements. We look forward to welcoming you back soon and showing you the progress firsthand.

Great location and nice docks. We’d stay there again. Only bummer this time was they don’t have fuel due to some permitting delays.

Marina Response:
Thanks for staying with us and for the kind words about our location and docks—we’re glad you enjoyed your visit and would come back! We appreciate your patience regarding the fuel situation. We’re actively working through the permitting process and hope to have fuel service available this week 4/20/2026!! In the meantime, our team is always happy to help point you to nearby options. Looking forward to welcoming you back on your next trip!

Location location location. This is the place to stay if you want to be right in beautiful downtown Beaufort. We got a last minute reservation which was great. The bathroom available to use is just the public bathroom which needs some attention as the toilet took a couple flushes to flush a #1 and no water at all came out of the hot water tap. Can't speak to the showers as I didn't use them.

Marina Response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're really glad you enjoyed our central location in downtown Beaufort and that we could accommodate your last-minute stay—that’s always something we’re happy to help with. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the restroom facilities. That’s certainly not the standard we aim to provide, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We’re addressing the concerns to ensure a more comfortable experience for future guests. Thank you again for your honest review—it helps us improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better stay next time.

Dock help is good as is location to town but restroom and in town laundry facilities should be torn down

Marina Response:
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the dock staff helpful. We’re sorry the restroom facilities didn’t meet your expectations. Your comments are important, and we’re actively evaluating improvements to bring the facility up to standard for all guests. The laundry facility is a separate private business. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope to provide a better experience on your next visit.

Six months ago I would’ve easily gave this Marina five stars as we have been staying here for many many years. The town of Beaufort hired a new management company F3 Marina’s. We used to come here a minimum of twice a year for two weeks at a time and we have found out from many other boaters that they have doubled their price of transient dockage to $3.75/foot with a 50 foot minimum. They also jacked up their 50 amp nightly electric to 30.00/night. They are now by far the most expensive marina in all of North and South Carolina. Just FYI !!!

Marina Response:
Thank you for your feedback and for being a longtime guest. We understand that pricing changes are never easy. The updated rates reflect current market conditions, increased operating expenses, and enhancements being made by the Town of Beaufort and management. While we recognize this may not align with every guest’s expectations, we remain committed to providing a high-quality marina experience. We appreciate your past visits and wish you safe travels wherever you dock next. Rates are $3.75 per foot for a 50' minimum and $1.95 per foot for a 35' minimum.

Called to get instructions for day docking and was given clear instructions to dock at the west end by the public restrooms. Signage was present and a dock hand was there to help. He explained how to use the app to make a reservation for our spot which is a new requirement and will take some time for folks to adjust but its nice to be able to reserve a spot ahead of time. Use the promo/coupon code "daydock" and the reservation is free for 3 hours. Not sure how much it is beyond three hours. Thankful to be able to enjoy the waterfront by boat and for the new management providing a wonderful service to the boating community, local and from abroad.

Marina Response:
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear that our team was able to provide clear docking instructions and assist you upon arrival. It’s great to know the signage and dockside support made your experience smooth. We appreciate your patience as we roll out the new reservation system—it’s definitely an adjustment, but we’re excited about the added convenience it brings for planning ahead. Thanks as well for sharing the promo tip!! Most of all, we’re grateful for your kind words about our efforts to support the boating community. We look forward to welcoming you back to the waterfront again soon!

Nice to have your people help explain the new policy for this marina..:we didn’t know about the change but it makes sense! Thank you!

Marina Response:

Stayed here in January. They took great care of us even with snow on the docks. Made sure we had everything we needed and helped us get the best value for our stay. Much friendlier and helpful staff than the past. Plan to stop again in April.

Marina Response:
Thank you for the kind words Chip. Shoveling snow off the Beaufort town docks is a once in quarter century event, glad you here to experience it with us. See you in Spring!!

Friendly and helpful staff. The docks are in moderate condition. The restrooms are showers are in very poor condition. The showers look as if they have never been cleaned properly. This may be staining. But it looks filthy.

Marina Response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about our staff. We’re glad to hear they were friendly and helpful during your visit. We’re disappointed to learn that the condition of the showers did not meet expectations. Clean, well‑maintained facilities are important to us, and your feedback has been shared internally so we can take a closer look and address the concerns you raised. While I can assure you that cleanliness is top of our agenda in this space, time has certainly taken a toll on the facility. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope you’ll consider visiting us again in the future. If you’d like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact us directly—we value the opportunity to improve and to provide a better experience for our guests. — Beaufort Town Docks Management

Our stay was excellent; Lori, the new manager, took great care of us and even loaned us her personal car for supply trips while the new management company prepared the dock cars. Good slips, good facilities and great access to downtown Beaufort. Highly recommended.

Marina Response:
Thank you for the kind words, Peter. It was a pleasure to host you in Beaufort, and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

I booked a slip for the weekend online and called 2 times to confirm and make sure I knew where to go. We drove down with our boat on Friday. Checked the website and said they close at 7. We arrived at 6:08 PM and no one was in the office or answered the phone. The office door said they were open until sunset, which is around 7:30 PM this time of year. I checked at the restaurant next door and they said to knock and keep calling. I did this for another 30 minutes and realized it wasn’t working. We ended up just driving our boat back home. So disappointed that there weren’t after hours instructions or someone answering the phone to let us know what to do. The man I spoke to never said they close early. This ruined my daughter’s boating birthday weekend.

Marina Response:
I apologize for our mistake. I have spoken to the dock hands. We would like to give you a complimentary evening if you would like to come back. Again sorry. Beaufort Docks

Mike and his team were excellent. I had arrived by boat from Atlantic City and it was getting dark. The hotel I booked boasts a marina, but it doesn't have slips for its guests. Beaufort Docks welcomed me when most options had gone home for the night. Highly recommend them. Beaufort hospitality!

One of our favorites! Having a new crew this season I was curious to see how they would like Beaufort Town Docks. As suspected, they said “that is a must-stop” on every trip north and south.” The only thing that stinks is that we seldom stop for more than one night when moving the boat. This years heading south we’ll try to stay longer! ~Capt. David - M/Y Magnum Ride

We were meant to stay a night and ended up staying a week! Mike was extremely accommodating and provided us with great service. An excellent marina with everything you need. Downtown is right there and the marina has clean washroom facilities. The laundry is at the back of the general store just across the road, it's the best marina laundry I have ever used! Restaurant are a stones throw away. we look forward to our return trip later this year. Thank you for hosting us. - Dean & Alka Bromiley
