About

Harborside Marina is a full service marina located 60 miles Southwest of Chicago on the Illinois River. Our mile marker is 273.3 near the mouth of the Kankakee River Southwest of Joliet, Illinois. We offer a full service department and complete sales department. We are new boat dealers for Manitou Pontoons, Scarab Jet Boats, Evinrude Outboards, and EZ Loader Trailers. We also have a great selection of used boats and yachts.

Come see us Tuesday through Sunday, we are open six days a week!

Approach

For our back harbor channel entrance take a look at the photo with the markings on how to get into the channel. Keep in mind you do not want to be in-front of the big house on the up river side or the big hill on the down river side. The idea is to come in the channel on the same angle as the first slip. During normal season a 1987 32' Carver Mariner will be at that dock & if you head towards the stern of that boat until you get in the channel you will be safe. It is 5' to 6.5' in the back harbor. If you draw more than 4.5' it will be safer to put you in one of our front harbor slips out on the channel. Though we have had boats that draw 5' go through just fine. If you are taking a slip at our fuel dock ALWAYS bow in on your starboard side to be on the safe side. We have good depth at the fuel dock but the stern is safer out towards the river (Plus the view is better looking out at the trees!)

We came in and stayed on fuel dock just for one night as we started heading south to Florida. The marina owner Brett was very timely and helpful in communications. Fuel dock made for an easy in/out since we just were overnighters. Restaurant was open on Sunday night and food was an upgrade from typical marina bar food and service was lovely! A great stopover spot.
