this place is a dump. The office is closed, and boarded up. Someone is living in an RV in the parking lot. All the boats are decrepit and abandoned. The sole liveabaord told me one horror story after another. This place is no good. The docks are all messed up too, One section is burned up. Went there to buy a boat and it was a complete scam. Stay away from Wilmington

I am sorry you had a bad experience at Cerritos Yacht Anchorage. The office is open during normal business hours Monday – Friday, I assure you it is not boarded up. We operate as a marina and do not sell boats. If you met with someone selling their boat and thought there might be a scam going on, I would love to discuss that with you. I spoke with a few of the live aboard and one remembers telling someone about stories they heard about buying and selling boats, not specifically about Cerritos Yacht Anchorage. Sorry if there was confusion. Wilmington marinas have been here since 1940 and are family owned and operated. We are all good people working hard to make an honest living. We did unfortunately have a fire on the dock, but if you noticed there are new sections built and floated. There are two more almost finished and that whole corner will be replaced.
