Have been with Safe Harbor since they purchased the marina which was previously Pirate Cove . Very significant investment has been made to make this a world class marina - it’s fantastic with great slip neighbors …..Capt. Jim Liddell
Nice small marina nestled on the Sakonnet River. The facilities are newer and kept very clean. The staff (Big Mike, Master Jay , Jump Suit Mike, Sully, and Grandpa Steve are the best staff on the planet! Friendly, knowledgeable but most importantly, accommodating! So very happy I found Safe Harbor Island Park! No plans to ever leave!
great moorings, marina is close to a great restaurant and coffee shop.
Nice secure mooring, bathroom and showers. We had to add a day and staff was very accommodating. They also received a package and held it for me.
Dave @ Safe Harbor Island park was very helpful in arranging our stay.
Stayed on a mooring for a couple of weeks in October 2020. The location and gear condition were excellent and Mike was very helpful and accommodating.
Dave was great and gave us clear and concise mooring assignment ahead of arrival. Nice mooring and location with beautiful view. Thank you and will be back again.
Staff is friendly and pleasant and always willing to help.
Very peaceful spot. Good breezes in the afternoon generally come up the river. The marina is a bit run down. And advertises gas but did not have any on Saturday morning for our dinghy. Will start here again as it is a lovely spot but will make sure we have everything we need ahead of time.
We made a reservation just after midnight for a mooring for later that day via Dockwa. My reservation was neither accepted nor declined and I had to call Pirate Cove Marina in the afternoon about the request ... to find out that they didn't have a mooring available. I had asked them why they didn't decline my reservation to let me know and they shrugged it off because it was a "same day booking". I would argue that responding for those kind of bookings is even more important than for ones that are several days ahead of time. After all, boaters have to find other places to stay at night if a marina doesn't have the space. Not getting a response leaves you in limbo .... seems like a general Dockwa down-side in general. I finally got a reservation decline at 7:23 pm.
Very good marina and staff are excellent - WIFI is excellent and they offer a courtesy car. Though they seemed to be limited on transient slips at the end of season when they were busy stowing boats, they made room for us. Hope to return!
Friendly people offer a loaner car that is really helpful. It is a well protected marina with easy access. The only reason for holding back on a five star rating is the user friendliness of the shower stalls. They could use some well placed hooks to hang clothing and shelves in the stalls for soaps and such. Having said that the stay overall was considerably better than some of the more costly marinas.
