St. Michaels |
Established in 1965, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Maryland, is a world-class maritime museum dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment and people of the entire Chesapeake Bay.
Located along St. Michaels Harbor and the Miles River in the heart of St. Michaels’ historic district, CBMM’s Members-Only Marina is a short walk from the area’s best restaurants, specialty shops, and other attractions. Docking at our marina offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich maritime heritage of the Chesapeake Bay.
The marina is open daily and offers 55 slips, accommodating vessels up to 200′ in length and a maximum draft of 10'. Amenities include electric, pump-out service, climate-controlled showers, Wi-Fi, picnic tables, and bicycles. St. Michaels also offers a harbor shuttle service, a harborside fuel dock, and convenient driver services.
A CBMM membership is required to use our marina and its facilities. Your membership and docking fees directly contribute to supporting our educational programs, fascinating exhibitions, and maintaining the world’s largest collection of Chesapeake watercraft.
Overnight docking privileges are reserved for Mariner level members and above. Hourly docking is available on a first-come, first-served, space available basis to Household level members and above.
Gibby, the Dockmaster, is always very accommodating and helpful. Gio is also a very capable dockhand whose expert assistance makes tying up to the T-head quick and secure. We love staying at CBMM and would encourage all visitors to consider signing up for one of the many levels of membership, or make a donation to CBMM.org. Please visit: https://cbmm.org/memberships/

Great place. Dock master Josh is awesome.
Love the place, the management, all employees a boater meets and or are helped by
We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend. Awesome staff, big band, food trucks and moon bounce for the kids. Great spot to watch the fireworks too.
It's always a major pleasure to stay at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Josh and his team do a superb job of taking care of everyone. The extra effort is really appreciated. This is a special place to stop on the Chesapeake Bay.
Always great service
Josh and his team are great upon docking. The new Welcome Center is beautiful. New docks and ground improvements are good.
Always great - thank you!
Very accommodating.
Excellent as always! Dock master Josh is always on hand to assist and we are happy to support the museum. Water at the docks would be nice though.
Great facility and very helpful people.
Great spot and walking distance to town.
Just a great place, clean facilities and a short walk to town
Always a great place to stay in St. Mike’s
Helpful pleasant staff, clean showers and heads. Fun place to walk around and close to restaurants and shops
friendly and helpful staff - close to town - enjoy visiting the museum
The staff were excellent and professional, took very good care of us!
This is a nice marina convenient to town and right in the heart of the Maritime Museum. Fixed docks in good condition are exposed to East winds, but generally very comfortable. Would probably get a little wake action on busy weekend. Washroom facilities are clean and serviceable. A stay requires an annual mariners membership to museum which we felt was worth it both for the less expensive moorage and to support this truly fantastic museum. Will happily come back again.
Great location for walking, biking, and eating out. Clean bathrooms and showers.
