It poured rain on us but it was a great place to sit out a storm!

Great staff, super helpful with our need to leave our boat to travel home for a wedding and other life events. Sophie, Heidi, and the rest of the crew are top notch. Launch service and the Chart House restaurant were an added bonus. Also a great stop for fuel, water, and a pumpout!

Friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful sunset. Met some of the regulars on the dock and they were just as friendly as the staff. This was our first time here and we’ll certainly be back.

Staff cordial and helpful, facilities comprehensive (shower & head could use renovation, but OK). We feel welcome here even though we don't spend big $$$ on fuel etc.

Kingman is our favorite stop before transiting the canal east. It's also a great place to duck into if your coming west from the canal and Buzzards Bay is really sloppy. The marina is very professionally run and capable of any type of marine work.

What a beautiful marina. We stayed in the lagoon behind the service area. The people were friendly and helpful.we had dinner at the restaurant while enjoying a great view of the sunset over the bay. We spent a tranquil evening on the boat. We’ll be back.

Large marina with a busy iconic seafood restaurant onsite (The Chart Room). No AC in the inside part of the restaurant. Piano bar at least on weekend evenings. Owners predominantly at the Marina. Clean heads and showers. Boutique, marine services, and yacht broker onsite. There’s a little store where you can get coffee & ice cream novelties. Uber is available to go offsite for other needs. Owners were complaining about how windy it has been this summer and the marina wad quiet. Transients be warned: if an owner returns unexpectedly the marina may ask you to move slips. We needed to move on a very windy day. That issue wasn’t enough of a problem for me to give a 4 star rating, as dock staff were very helpful.

We had a wonderful lunch @ the Chart Room & beautiful evening on a Kingman mooring. Perfect ending to our vacation.

We can’t sat enough nice things about Kingman Yacht Center. We came in with engine trouble to our sailboat - overheating, and they put us on a mooring that was easily accessible, had a mechanic out here the next morning and it was quickly diagnosed and a new impeller inserted to solve the problem, Bill, the mechanic was terrific - competent and so personable. For such a busy marina to have been so quick to help us is beyond wonderful. Also appreciate the great launch service and great drivers. Thank you, Kingman.

What a wonderful, serene mooring. It's quite busy, but the friendly staff are all over it. Great service! Hope to be back one day.

Great area, mooring, and attentiveness of the staff. Location is really great, although pay attention getting in there as it's a narrow/shallow passage.

Delightful secure location. The marina is well maintained with adequate dinghy space. The Chart Room restaurant was excellent. As swordfish snobs they did an outstanding job. Juicy and delicious.

Nice marina with friendly and helpful staff. Docks are in very good shape and no problems with electrical supply or water. We were tied up on the outer (broadside) floats right inside the breakwater. A little lumpy during the day with the launch zipping back and forth next to us but very calm after 9PM so no problem sleeping at all. Wi-Fi was spotty at best but otherwise this was a great stay at a well-protected marina. We'll be back!

The staff at Kingman could not have been more friendly, warm, and welcoming. This level of service orientation is hard to find. I applaud them on a well-run operation with beautiful docks and a pristine facility and property, all while providing a comfortable and warm personal setting.

Stayed on a mooring, no problems. Organized field made it east to locate the mooring. The onsite restaurant is convenient, but you should make reservations otherwise it's 1-2 hour wait. The launch doesn't run past 8 pm so you should dinghy in as the restaurant service is not predictable.

Fabulous facilities with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Sophie seemed to be our personal concierge as we needed 7 feet of water and had to arrive on a falling lunar tide. Zach and the other deckhands made easy work navigating to the refueling horseshoe, then out to our slip with skinny water. We know we can make the north channel and Red Brook Harbor to get in and out on a +.8 tide! The Chart Room restaurant is at the end of the Marina ramp and the food and drinks are great however the patio is not pet friendly. The Marina is so pet friendly, the dock crew offered to watch our pup so we could get a bite ashore. Can’t ask for anything more!

We enjoyed our stay at Kingman. The staff was very helpful. Nice floating docks and well organized mooring field. The laundry was clean with 3 washers and dryers. The Chart room had good food and right on the premises

Very nice, spacious, friendly marina with a yacht center to visit. A care should be taken in approaching the marina as some areas have shallow water. I needed a seal and parts department was very helpful in every way to help solve the problem. There is a nice restaurant on site with great mud slides, though our food was a bit too salty. Recommend you a stay and try the amenities on site

Made an unexpected detour into Kingmans after an engine overheat. Pulled up to the gas dock, attendants were very helpful. Needed to stay the night to do repairs, Sophie was very accomodating in getting me a slip. Everyone was very nice here.

Kingman and the Pocassett harbor are wonderful. Great facilities and service. One of the most beautiful place that I have ever sat and watch the sunset, the wind, the sea and the stars.

Fantastic marina. Accommodated early arrival and even gave us a gift. Nice authentic restaurant on property.

People/staff were friendly. Facilities were clean. Dinghy dock was full with weekend boat owners that park their dinghies during the week. We were there on Tuesday. Shore layout was confusing with no signage. You get up the to shore/dock and head directly into the restaurant. No signage as to where the marina office is located.

Great launch drivers. Unfortunately couldn’t get yard service to help with a halyard issue (went up the mast myself the next day).

One of the best stops in Buzzards Bay. Great docks and staff, The Chart Room (n to to be missed) and one of the best sunsets you can find while sipping a cocktail in an Adirondack chair on the lawn....what more could a cruiser want?

Red Rock Harbor is well protected. Mooring was in good shape. Dinghy dock crowded and undersized for the mooring field. Pleasant and helpful staff. Chart Room restaurant was just OK.

This is a world-class Marina with excellent facilities and service. Jeff Pimental is an excellent dockmaster.

The Staff was amazing and went above and beyond! They took care of our needs and concerns! Beautiful, clean marina! Tim from the Repair Department even checked our Turbos for us and gave us part numbers to repair them this winter. Directions into the Marina were thorough and clear! We will return! 10 stars!!!!

Our 6/19 stay at Kingman was perfect as expected. They immediately responded to our call on Channel 71, passed clear and concise directions to our slip, and then had two dockhands meet us to assist with tie-up. Bathrooms / showers were clean, coffee was good in the AM, and we're looking at the calendar to see if we can book another trip this summer. Thanks for a great experience.

We love this place. A regular stop for us going north and south.

The harbor is well protected. The north entrance is challenging but necessary draft depending. We were disappointed that the diesel pumps were not working especially because we called them about an hour prior to arrival to let them know we planned to first go to the fuel dock and they never mentioned the issue. The Dockwa description mentions a “welcome packet” which never materialized. And the restaurant was closed even though the website says they are open.

Everything about this Harbor is lovely- the Marina is very nice, the restaurant is good, the staff could not be more attentive and well trained. BUT ..there is a significant problem with birds. If you plan to stay at this marina bring bird deterrents - at least 3 or 4 different ones. do NOT leave your boat unattended over night. We were impacted several times (even with defenses in place) We spent 3-4 hours each time trying to clean it up , every boat around us was impacted - we had friends who passed through who said they would likely not be returning because of this problem - If you have a fool proof bird deterrents system - you will be fine.

Both of the lines on the mooring were rotted out. There were no loops on either end. Our expectation is for an easy snd safe approach to a mooring R11

Late in the season overnight. The marina and facilities are top notch. We arrived around 6pm and due to it being late in the season, no one was available to tell us what number or where our slip was located. We stayed on the dock, had dinner at the Chartroom restaurant and had a very nice stay. Our 4 star rating Probably should be 5, we just there should have been a little better communication.

I’ve stayed at a mooring at Kingman 3 nights over the last 2 weeks. Peaceful setting with beautiful sunsets. Coming from Gloucester it is convenient as a first stop after going through the canal. We used as jumping off point for cuttyhunk, Vineyard, Newport. We even made it to Montauk from there in rough conditions. Fuel dock is convenient with helpful, energetic staff. Didn’t use the launch but they responded quickly to all calls I heard. Plan to go back often to use as base in that area or as starting point for longer trips. Also attentive to dockwa requests and chats. Hope to be back soon!

Good service at fuel dock.

A launch came right out to meet us and guide us to our mooring. We were able to get reservations for dinner at the nearby Chart House restaurant and the drinks and dinner were delicious. On our return a few days later we stopped to take on full and the attendants were friendly, professional and quick. They also helped with the pompous. They were great with our lines. All and all we will be sure to return!

KYC is wonderful. Staff guided us in via radio to our mooring, great tender service and everyone in the center was friendly. Will definitely come back next season. Only disappointment was that I didn't get a welcome bag. PS if you want dinner at the Chart room, make your reservation days ahead... worth it!

This marina is the best - change your plans and stay here! They have everything: great location; well-equipped ship’s store (or will get what you need); fun art gallery; wonderful restaurant; and amazing sunsets. More important, they have the most friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff. They only know “yes”. We took an extended sail vacation and stayed with them twice. Our plans changed a bit and they were always helpful when we needed to adjust dates. Stay here!

We stay at Kingman every year and it's always a pleasure. The staff is friendly and always there to help. We always get a great meal at The Chart Room where this year there is plenty of outdoor seating and CDC guidelines are being followed. Nearby Bassett's Island has a nice beach with warm water. It's an all-around great place to visit!

We stayed on a mooring ball for 2 nights - easy to reserve on Dockwa. We planned to stay 5 nights and be there during Hurricane Isaias. On our way there, KYC called us and said we could not say past Sunday morning as they do not allow transients during hurricanes. We were disappointed by that news, but went anyway for 2 nights. The facility is very nice and the services were well-run. Beautiful location. Great area for bike riding and hiking. Did not have time to paddle board, but lots of people were doing that. Did not go to the beach, but it looked fun. We would go back.

Wonderful location, protected, easy in and out. Staff very friendly. Would definitely be a 5 star review except the dinghy dock is seriously overcrowded again this year. Chart Room is no longer pet friendly in the outdoor area.

Stay for one night was excellent. Was a great stop to make while making our way to Cuddyhunk the next day. The Chart Room for dinner was excellent we had 10 for dinner and the service was excellent! Would definitely stay at Kingman again and hope to get back that way next year!!

We stayed on a mooring. Easy in and out. Responsive on VHF Ch71 upon arrival. Launch service was excellent. Marina was clean and organized. I would stay there again.

There is a dinghy dock but it's so overcrowded it's impossible to dock. You have to crawl over other dinghies to be able to reach the dock. Sadly they are no longer dog friendly.

7' draft easy in/out of the channel, 10' min depth at mid tide. The harbor has calm water with wind any direction and locals are respectful of no-wakes, even on the holiday weekend. The harbor/dock staff are competent and pleasant. We bought fuel but did not use shore facilities. The on-site restaurant had good food with beautiful harbor views. Did not give the marina 5 stars because the dinghy dock is seriously overcrowded. It's way too small for the large number of moored boats using it and it's a real hassle getting in and out. It's also pretty unstable to walk on and quite exciting for two people to pass carrying provisions and gear. The only other issue we had was having to move to a different mooring as we did not have enough swing room for 55' boat in N/NE wind. We woke up one morning to find the ball of the boat behind us under our swim deck. The Dockmaster was quick to help out though and moved another boat to accommodate us. Very professional. Overall a pleasant stay in a gorgeous harbor and we would definitely return.

Kingmans is a destination with the rustic charm of Cape Cod and the venerable Chart Room restaurant. People are kind and considerate and they strive for excellence which they achieved. Restrooms and showers are impeccable. A great stay and we would come back again.

Although we have visited Kingman Yacht Center on see real occasions for the Chart Room And Candy store this was our first overnight and the marina and it was spectacular. Service is always on point and we will definitely be back in the near future. Thank you!

We have stayed at Kingman’s many times before. The two women working in the office this time were very rude. They appeared annoyed when asked for information about the facilities, etc.

Great facility with lovely staff. But if you draw more than 5’, be very careful to coming in either passage, perhaps only attempt at high tide. We hit hard on a rock in the middle of the north channel approach. Once you arrive at Kingman, there’s lots of water. Restaurant is only open on weekends after Labor Day.

Very quiet setting, beautiful sunsets, and friendly patrons and staff. Good restaurant on site and internet worked well for streaming Netflix. Very dog friendly too. We came in and out via the deeper northern route. Saw nothing less than 10 feet at mid tide, but tricky in a couple places so study charts beforehand.

Always a great port to stop! I love the launch drivers and deck hands. They go overboard (no pun intended) to be helpful. It’s one of most favorite places to visit.

Came back again for two more nights en route to/from destinations further south. Always fun and a pleasure to be served by such courteous launch and fuel dock crew. We sure kept the launch busy with guests coming and going and with a dog who needed periodic relief! Great marina. Super friendly and helpful staff for both the launch service and at the dock. Great location for relaxing at Chart Room restaurant or anchoring off Bassetts Island. Large, well organized and well-marked mooring field. Very easy to find our spot. N and S Channels in and out not as intimidating as might appear on a chart. Just pay attention to your GPS and the markers. You’ll be rewarded by a great stay.

This was our third year staying there. Nice destination from and to North shore MA. Last few years was not impressed with shower facilities but they made some significant improvements. Very nice now.

I made a late reservation and Justin went out of us way to make sure I was taken care of. I was docking my 41' sailboat alone but All of the dock staff were super helpful.

This place has got it all, beautiful, protected setting, very professional operation, delicious and healthy food at the Chart House, and a lively but not rowdy night scene. Highly recommended!!!

Scott and his family were spectacular on our ‘extended’ stay at Kingman. Needing to stay a few extra days due to both weather and mechanical issues, the team at Kingman made it effortless and relaxing. Deb and Jim in service were rock stars, not only finding me a part for my boat that would have been otherwise hard to find, Deb negotiated a much lower price saving me hundreds. It’s possible we made up the difference in mudslides. Within two hours of the part being delivered, we were untied and on our way. We hope be back next year, but also hope to see Scott and team at the MBYCA Invasion next summer. Thanks again for your hospitality and professionalism. John and Carol and the WYC Castaways.

Not a fun experience. Had to hail the marina multiple times just to get a slip assignment when pulling into the harbor. An email or call in advance would be much easier. Then I return to the boat to find that it has been moved without my permission because they double booked my slip and gave it away to another customer and left mine on the fuel dock. Only way I found this out was because the guy who my slip was given too told me. A simple phone call or email notifying me that they needed to move it or put it in another slip would have been the bare minimum I would have expected. Instead I go down to where my boat was parked and it was just gone.

Easy end slip. Dock help indicated we should check in and get a tote bag. When we went to the office they didn't offer us anything. Protected marina. Some waves from the launch but they end early. Suggest making reservations for the restaurant since it gets really busy. Bathrooms were clean but a short walk away. Had hoped to visit Bassetts island but the weather didn't cooperate. Will return another time.

Full service yard if you need it; launch drivers responsive and helpful. Young woman at desk in dockhouse seemed to be having a bad day...every day. Popular restaurant on site. "Hiking trails" are at county park about .5 mi up winding road with no sidewalk. "Private Beach" is at Barrett's Island across harbor.

Dock hands ready when we arrived. Chart House Restaurant was awesome. Entire property is great. We will be back.

Great staff, had a breakdown coming in at 2pm on a Saturday. They quickly helped us to the dock, got a mechanic on board who found the problem and had us on our way by 4. Very helpful, friendly, smart.

Staff was very confused about where we were going to dock. They did however do a nice job of helping us tie up, but then disappeared in a flash without mentioning a word ( i.e. nothing about their facility or layout). Surrounding area is nice, even if the marina is a long way down a winding, narrow and very shallow channel. We would consider staying here again.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great location and facilities, we loved Bassett's island. We will return to KYC again soon.

Had an excellent experience staying over the weekend at KYC. Staff are outstanding individuals and fun to talk with making the experience that much more enjoyable. Facilities are always super clean and well kept. Will certainly be back again. Keep up the great work!

The staff is great. The bathroom/showers are a put off. The showers lack a dedicated stall which results in water all over the floor. Also the floors are "raw" concrete.

We enjoyed our third visit at Kingman Marine and extended our stay by several days. Deb had the filter I needed for my Onan and the Chart Room is always a good stop. Uber was helpful (no rental company had an available car). Only drawback was some frustration in contacting someone to address my wife's questions, unfortunately she did not recall having been there before with this boat.

Three days on mooring and really enjoyed our first time stay in Red Brook Harbor. Great, free launch service and marvelous restaurant, The Chart Room. Nice hiking trail and walk to local breakfast restaurant. Great time

Friendly, capable staff. It's a busy place, but after winding our way around through a confusing channel, it was a very pleasant stay. If this is your first time in, I'd recommend entering near high tide.

Very pleasant stay. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Free launch service. Free pump-out at Fuel Dock. Excellent dock-side restaurant. Bourne Pump-out (not related to Kingman Marina) is supposed to be available for boat side pump out...but was unresponsive for the 2 days we were there. They never answered out calls on VHF 9. Fortunately, the free fuel dock pump out was available. Would not hesitate to return.
