Isle of Hope Marina

We love Isle of Hope! The people are super nice and the ability to borrow a curtesy car is great! Superwalmart is close and has everything! The facilities are on the older side but are clean!

Awesome some place and great people

What’s good: The staff are professional and very welcoming. The dock hand was very skilled helping us into a tight fit with wind and current working against us. The GM was very helpful with questions and made us feel very welcome. What’s not so good and needs attention: The marina shows signs of aging: the bathrooms and laundry room need serious updating; when you leave the docks you walk on stones and dirt which make for a dusty and dirty entrance to the dock office and then back to your boat; the lighting around the docks is minimal and one must use a flashlight to move about safely. It’s unfortunate that this marina has not been kept up to date, it’s shabby and rundown looking, something more similar to a fishing dock rather than a marina. I’m hoping the new owners will take a good look around and ask themselves if this is a marina they would like to have their boat, their wives, children and pets spend time. The staff make this place and the surrounding area if you like to walk around and have the feel of old Savannah, the neighborhood is beautiful.

Really enjoyed our stay at Isle of Hope, and we'll be back again! We stopped here for a 2 day rest after crossing from the Bahamas to Brunswick and up the ICW a bit. The staff was helpful and friendly. The loaner car was a huge perk, especially to provision and go see the Wormsloe Historic site. Bathrooms are large and clean. Highly recommend this marina!

courtesy car is a great convenience

The marina is well situated, with a lot of interesting walking scenery, and the staff very friendly. The bathroom/shower facilities are dated, however, and, in some instances, crumbling. The locks are in process of being changed, so maybe there is more planned to bring all up to date.

Very nice marina. Dockhands very helpful. We used loaner car for dinner which was convenient. Have access to community pool a few blocks away that had a couple families in it. Simple. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice newer docks and easy face dock to pull into. Friendly staff. Loaner car a huge plus and loaner bicycles too. Bathroom doors have that bomb shelter look but interior was OK. The street the marina is beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at Isle of Hope. This Marina is directly on the ICW, very quaint homes are around the Marina waterfront - great setting! We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We utilized their courtesy car and enjoyed a nice Birthday dinner at Driftaway Cafe.

The personnel are lovely and helpful, we REALLY appreciated the loaner car, the docks and power pedestals are in good shape, the covered deck was nice, the neighbourhood was beautiful, restaurants close by. Only negatives are marginal showers, getting waked on the outer dock.

We made a last minute reservation and we arrived late. Chris the dockmaster arranged for a dockhand to wait for us. He was very accommodating. The marina is right on ICW but still very few wakes. They had a loaner car available.

Chris and his team do a great job. They're courteous and helpful. They recommended an excellent local marine technician, Elfin with Complete Marine Services, who quickly helped us with a major engine problem. This extended our stay, but we were glad to have the time to discover Isle of Hope and Savannah. Carl and Donna

Beautiful and quiet location. All the conveniences needed to provision and/or get parts for boat, We were ill, so proximity to Urgent Care was very convenient. Super staff. Take the time to see Wormsloe Plantation.

Great people and wonderful island

Chris, the Harbour Master, and his team do an amazing job caring for boaters. We love the Isle of Hope location - a beautiful and historical place. Easy access to Savannah and a REAL bakery "around the corner." We strongly recommend this stop that is worth every moment. PS. The courtesy car is a BIG deal and much appreciated. Beautiful setting great service.

Isle of Hope Marina -is one of my favorite stops along the ICW. The people are extremely helpful and bend over backwards to make your stay safe and enjoyable!

All the staff that I met were very helpful and pleasant and super accommodating; Chris, Kimberly, Andrew, Clinton, Jack and Wyatt . Each of them making extra effort to ensure a pleasant stay. Two loaner cars are available with easy access. The setting and the neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet at night. I will definitely return. M/V MOBY

Always a great stay!

Excellent service. All slips are situated alongside. Ours was the last on the dock making for an easy entry and exit. Others might have been a bit trickier. Adequate restrooms and showers plus loaner bicycles and loaner car.

We loved our two night stay at Isle of Hope. All of the staff were great - helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating. The loaner car saved us a fortune in ride costs and allowed us to shop for things we would not have bought with just a bicycle. Pool access at the community pool a short walk up the street. Neighborhood is quiet. Marina is in a No Wake zone, so even on the face dock, we were not rocking all night.

Excellent staff, easy in/out, lovely neighborhood. Uber pickup easy and the courtesy car was a joy!! Kimberly and Chris were wonderful and very helpful and super pleasant!! Thank you and we will definitely be back on our return voyage. Bill and Denise - M/V Emmylou

Great staff and a loaner car. However, the facilities are a bit dated ( laundry room) and our electric pedestal was broken.

Friendly, comfortable and convenient. We loved walking the neighborhood and the courtesy car was a nice amenity. Will definitely come back again.

Staff super friendly & helpful. Docks are good. We were on the outside so occasionally got a little rock from passing boats. A little isolated but the loaner car got us there and back. Uber to Savannah.

This is a nice little marina. The staff was great, nice to have the marina car to provision. The WiFi needs investment; it was useless. I would personally rather have no WiFi than a useless one.

We love Isle of Hope Marina and have stayed here many times! It’s a picturesque setting right on the ICW without the boat wakes that you would normally get since it’s a No Wake Zone. We’ve even left the boat here on several occasions for several weeks to fly home and felt comfortable doing so with the attention given to our 58’ x 23’ power cat on their face dock. Kimberly and Andrew are both the best! Andrew came out in the rain to help us dock and Kimberly always makes us feel welcome when we call or come into the office. It’s such a bonus to have not only one but two loaner cars! And it’s kind of fun to drive them and be nostalgic about all the old systems we had in cars…no A/C, manual windows and door, no GPS or backup camera, but everything works just fine! Lol! And we were told they were replacing the older car with a new one. We don’t care, just happy to be able to drive into town to provision and enjoy Skid away Island’s medical services (when needed), restaurants, West Marine, liquor and grocery stores. We highly recommend!

The staff are friendly and provide great service. The marina had just what we needed - clean and convenient facilities without frills. The use of the loaner car really was great and saved us time and money. We did take a Lyft to spend the day in historic Savannah - and that worked out well. We would recommend.

The IOH Marina is great. Free courtesy car is a plus. The only issue was a dull pulsating electronic sound every 5 seconds that lasted through the night. Other boaters have experienced this before.

Excellent location and easy docking Very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately we arrived over New Years and they were closed both New Year's Eve day and New Year's Day itself and were not able to fuel up.

Checked all the boxes. Was even able to use a loaner car to get some needed replacement parts. Very helpful and timely. Will return.

Most pleasant stop of our ICW trip. On a quiet bend in the river, extremely accommodating, pleasant and helpful staff, clean bathrooms and showers. Close to Savannah downtown with 2 free cars to use. We were not left wanting in any way.

Right from the start we felt great about the choice. The Dock hand was perfect, the area is gorgeous, quiet and quaint. They even have a loaner car that we used to get supplies. We will be back....

Friendly staff and a pleasant stay

We stayed at Isle of Hope Marina for five days due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Nicole. We were on an unprotected dock so when the wind was coming out of the east, we had a lot of wave action hitting the side of the boat making it hard to sleep. That said, the marina is set on a beautiful cove and as it is 4-5 miles inland, it was good protection from the storm. I recommend it if in a big storm situation. They need to work on the internet as 5 days without wifi kills your communications plan, financially. They do offer free loaner cars and that is a great benefit. We used it a number of times to hit Publics and Kroger. The bathrooms were clean and well taken care of. I will stop there again when I bring my boat back in the spring

Great little marina with terrific staff. They even have a loaner car!

We stayed for 6 days and Kimberly and crew couldn't have been any nicer. We used one of their loaner cars a number of times to explore the area and go to dinner. The Art & Music festival was in the parking lot and we enjoyed the music all day!
