Just moments from unblemished views of the San Francisco skyline and some of the finest sailing on the bay, Safe Harbor Ballena Isle offers a boating oasis complemented by the camaraderie and welcoming culture of the local boating community.
The docks are beautiful! The office staff is incredibly friendly. Fabulous restaurant In our opinion, the nicest marina on the island of Alameda.
Our assigned slip did not have 50 amp power as it was shared with another boat. There are limited restaurant options, and some of the docks are in disrepair. We spend only one night there, used our generator, and managed just fine.
It was great people we nice and it was clean and not shady like on the estuary
Overall good experience. Location is very nice. Short walk to town. On site manager very helpful and friendly. The only negative is the marina isn’t really set up for short term visitors (they may not want them) no access to showers or laundry
A nice, friendly marina. The bathrooms were clean, and the key fob system easy to use.
Great marina to stay at. The marina mart is run by a lovely woman that was very sweet. We even attended a Halloween gathering with food and great people. I would highly suggest this marina
I have come to Bellena Isle Marina in the fall for the last five years. Since Safe Harbor with Cindy and Jan took over, the Marina has improved every year! Yes, there are still some old docks but I'm everything works. Each time I come there are more improvements and more new docks. The local restaurant Pier 29 at the end of the docks always friendly with excellent food.
Docks need repair. Guest restroom needs attention. However, the staff is excellent and very accommodating. No public transportation available and the office girl , Jan, drove us to West Marine and came to get us. An extremely nice gesture.
This is a beautiful, protected marina. It has several amenities such as a store, and restaurant. One of the best in the Bay Area. The staff went out of their way to make sure all was good. To top off how good they are, I came in about 45 minutes past closing and they even waited for me. I'll be back.
We needed to leave our boat unattended for 10 days while waiting for weather to clear for our trip up the coast. The marina was clean, safe, and very accommodating. Highly recommended.
beautiful, nice quiet and clean. People are friendly on the island. There's a nice restaurant nearby for brunch too after docking called Pier 29. We had our food on the outdoor patio overlooking the water
We were in a large slip on A dock, which was a great location. We had plenty of power and nearby water hook-up, and the people on the dock were very friendly! It was very quiet overnight, which was awesome. And, of course, we were close to some of our favorite biking and kayaking. Thank you for a great weekend!
