Hello Kyle, We are sorry to hear that our temporary moorage did not meet your expectations. We were able to fit in your request at the last minute and apologize if there was any miscommunications. We are a full service boatyard and occasionally we rent our haul out dock to transient boats. The marina is very basic but does offer power and water at every slip. There is 30amp power available across the dock from where your boat was tied up. There is also a water hook up at the base of the power pedestal. The key pads on the bathrooms are disabled for the safety and security of our marina tenants and customers. We require a $40 cash deposit for a temporary bathroom key. You were asked you if you would need a key on the phone and you stated that the reason for the temporary moorage was that you would be hauling out your boat on Tuesday and needed storage over the weekend on Shelter Island. You also stated that you wouldn't be staying on the boat and therefore did not need a bathroom key. Unfortunately, our offices are not open on weekends and you arrived on a Saturday so we were unable to assist. We do try to be flexible with people and your boat was still tied up in the slip at 1pm on Tuesday even though our check out is 11am. We didn't charge you for your late check out even though you told me on the phone that you would be leaving the marina at 9am. If you are ever in need of transient space again or are in need of bottom painting we would like to offer you a discount off our standard price.
