The Seaview Boat Basin is located on the Bay between Evergreen and Gale Streets-- just to the east of the Ferry Terminal. The basin was dredged and bulk-headed in the 1920s by the Great South Beach Improvement Co, the original developer of Seaview. The Boat Basin can currently accommodate 57 boats of various sizes. Seaview is a quiet Fire Island beach community with no motor vehicles during the summer other than public service. Two thirds of the boat slips are used by local homeowners and the rest are a mix of non-homeowners renting for the season and short term rentals.
This was my first time staying at Seaview Boat Basin. Brett was a pleasure to work with. Very accommodating! I have already booked a longer stay for this summer....
The marina is great and in an ideal location. The dock master Billy was a pleasure. He assisted with the tie up, checked on the lines throughout our stay and had ice waiting. We have stayed at other locations on fire isl but this was by far the best marina yet as it’s very sheltered. 10 minute Walk to Ocean Beach shops and dining. Beaches were great, very friendly place for the family. We will be returning.
Stayed for a week . Great location. Nice marina.
We had a great time. Both dockmaster Dave and Brett were very helpful. Can’t wait to head back. Well kept and private.
Always a pleasure. Checking was on time and Marina is quiet and clean.
Love our yearly visit to Seaview - feels like home!!
Beautiful location, close but not too close to busy Ocean Beack. Brian the dockmaster could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. We will definitely be back!
Great stay. Family Friendly and a quick walk to town. Was quiet and our kids passed out every night around 7pm after a full day. The dockmasters Brian and Brett were incredibly helpful as well. Thank you guys for making it a great trip. See you soon
