Lovely marina and I would have given five stars but there are protrusions on some of the finger piers that can damage hulls. Our slip A22 was especially treacherous. There is a plastic step mounted on the finger pier that is much needed to be able to get on and off but the plastic edge sticks out about three inches and can damage boat hulls.

Our stay here was very nice and this beautiful marina has a lot to offer with a clean bathhouse, on-site restaurant, bikes to use, beach bar and beach area with lots of chairs, tables, fire pits, etc. for use. Communication with the dockmaster was excellent. We arrived after they closed for the day, but he left me a voicemail message with our slip assignment.

Communications were extremely poor. No one responded on the radio. I finally had to call. They were overbooked, which they did not tell us ahead of time, so requested slips and power were unavailable. Slips are old and too small for assigned boats. Amenities are very well done; clean restrooms, pool, lots of picnic space, new clean grills. Staff was friendly. One other item they didn’t mention was that the restaurant was closed for a private party!

What an amazing marina! From the moment we called on the radio for assistance finding our slip to the moment we left, we felt incredibly welcome. Gram, the dockmaster, was fantastic. When we encountered an issue with our boat, he kindly offered us an extra night so their mechanic could take a look in the morning. Unfortunately, we had to head back because our kids had school. Pepper, the manager, was also great—he provided us with the tools we needed to replace a faulty fuel filter. Thankfully, a friend brought us a new filter, which solved the issue. The marina itself is breathtaking. The pool, while small, was nice, and the restaurant, though a bit overpriced for the portion and quality, offered a sunset view that made it worthwhile. The beach area was immaculate, and everyone we encountered was friendly. This experience has certainly put this marina on our list, either as a potential new home base or a frequent destination. The staff at Haven Harbor South were friendly and very accommodating. We had an excellent dinner at their restaurant, the Ark & Dove.

The resort is beautiful, the marina staff are amazing, and every meal we had at the Ark & Dove restaurant was insanely good!

Our arrival was challenging, and not for the usual Rock Hall reasons. Originally, they put us in a slip that was maybe 18" wider than our boat. None of the 50 amp receptacles was operational, and they didn't have a splitter. They asked us to move to a more hospitable slip, which was clearly the right thing to do, but then my wife got a giant splinter from the decrepit piling on the way out of the too-small slip, which soured things. Otherwise, they've done a good job of building up the amenities, and the pool was welcome relief from the summer heat. We'll go back but only if they have a slip for us that isn't on F Dock (the walk to which is equivalent to driving to Dulles from Annapolis).

Awesome and we ate at the restaurant and it was absolutely delicious! We will be back.

Always a great time at Haven Harbor South! Rock Hall is one of our favorite destinations on the bay!

Great staff at the docks, spacious clean individual shower rooms and convenient lounge/deck. Nice marina all around.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Location can be a challenge to get to downtown but the Shuttle and driver Rick as well as car service by John were fantastic to work with during our stay. Facilities were very nice. Docks could use some updating but were fine.

Overall it was a clean and inviting place to dock and enjoy a night of festivities.

They got my boat dimensions wrong

To be frank, we kinda miss the old “Sailing Emporium” which is what this marina was called before it was sold because it was more of a “mom and pop” operation but……the new owners have made this marina a place you should visit. It was clean, friendly, upgraded, and a good location in Rock Hall Harbor. We will return.

This place is aesthetically gorgeous, a very “key west” vibe. Super clean, all the facilities looked amazing, lots of kid friendly amenities (beach games and playground). We booked this marina as our last stop on a week-long trip, and we were very disappointed to be told at arrival there would be no food available at the marina all weekend, the beach “bar and grill” would only be serving drinks, and the on site restaurant appears to not be open and operating yet. Additionally, online they advertise a courtesy shuttle available at the marina to take you to town, however when I inquired about that service I was handed a brochure for the Rock Hall shuttle service (that is amazing and convenient) but $10/person, which in the grand scheme of the things is not much… but the website should be updated. The members seemed to be expecting food trucks Saturday with a band, but the food trucks did not show up. Band on the deck Saturday evening was fun to listen to from the boat. All of the slip holders were very kind and friendly, shout-out to Jeff and his wife on the ‘Grease Monkey’ on A pier, super fun and friendly folks!

Upon arrival the dockmaster was very helpful in assisting us with taking our dinghy off of our boat and finding just the right slip where we could keep the dinghy with us. The marina and its grounds are very well kept. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Haven Harbour South is an awesome place to stay.

Great new additions since the last time we visited. The tiki bar and beach area were perfect. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to a wedding. It’s definitely a place worth a return visit.

This was our second stay in a month, and this marina is just awesome. The facilities are top notch - more like a Caribbean resort than a marina. Their communications are excellent (they sent me my slip assignment ahead of time!), and when we had to leave a day early they refunded our last day's slip fees - though likely because it was a holiday weekend and they were able to rent the slip. If you're looking for a great place to tie up with amenities so good they'll make you want to get off your boat and spend time ashore, this place is it. We'll be back again, and again.

Excellent facility and staff.

The marina and grounds were great. The only problem was the music at the cabana which was sexually explicit and vulgar. This seemed out of place for this high quality and family business

The dock master was awesome! He helped us tie up, he was waiting at our slip when we pulled in. I believe Denny was his name. The young lady in the office, and pepper were extremely helpful. Everyone is very friendly! The facility is very updated & clean. The bar on the beach is amazing! Just all around a great time!

Facility is beautiful and getting better. It is peaceful and tranquil. The sunsets are beautiful. Small restaurant and bar has good food and drinks. Sun deck and beach are very clean and inviting. Ships store is well stocked for entertainment & maintenance needs. Most piers have been resurfaced, but F pier still badly needs attention. Nearly impossible to not get lots of splinters. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Dockmaster is very helpful when tying up. We will be back.

The resort is beautiful and one you want to come bback to….but we left early. Well if you are assigned as slip out on they Their main dock and if there is any wind coming out of the west…you will not sleep a wink. You will be rocked hard all night long. We had reservations for two nights but left the morning of our .second day. Again great facilities …not a great protected dock from weather.

Top-shelf marina; well done!

Marina is very nice, well kept, clean, dockside service is great, nice amenities including pool and free bikes. Only drawback is that you are on the opposite side of the harbor from the restaurants and will need to use a bike or their land shuttle (it would be a very long walk) Would have rated 5 stars but on-site restaurant never opened and beach bar closed at 9 pm on a Friday with a full crowd. Could be COVID labor shortage related.

Always a great stop for a few days. Friendly staff. Floating docks. Nice to have full service available if you need it. Bikes, taxi and van availability is awesome. See you next time.

We spent the weekend on F dock with 2 other boating friends. Slips were in great shape, the marina is absolutely gorgeous, the food & drinks from the beach bar were all great. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. Loved the chairs in the sand with the fire pits. We will be back.

We love the quiet location of Haven Harbor South and the facilities are very nice. It is a fairly easy bike ride to a few local restaurants and a coffee shop. The beach area (not to be swam from) is nice to relax on and the pool is great for a day of chilling. The docks could use an upgrade, all of the slips we have been in are small half fingers. Full fingers would be much nicer for docking.

On our way south, we stayed at Haven Harbour South Marina for about 3 weeks. The extended stay was so the marina could do some gel coat and non-skid repairs. Our stay at the marina was nice. Most of the facilities have been recently updated - bathrooms / showers / marine store / outdoor public areas. All were great. Laundry facilities were okay - one set of machines, but they worked great. Best of all was the atmosphere at the marina - there are a lot of sailboat seasonal slip holders and a lot of people doing day sailing. Really fun atmosphere. They also made us as transients feel welcome. The use of the courtesy van/car was very helpful. The docks could use some updating, but we understand that is on the list of upcoming renovations. We were satisfied with the repair work, even though color-matching on gel coat repairs is very difficult. While the repair is not "perfect" from a color standpoint, it is very well done. The repairs to the non-skid were also very well done. We strongly recommend this marina and would come back.

We were very pleased with the service that we got at Haven Harbour South. They came and helped us tie up and we were able to borrow the minivan for the evening to meet up with friends. It was nice and quiet.

Dock hand was extra helpful. Check-in was very informative. Loaned us bikes and a courtesy car. Beautiful grounds, still being upgraded. All that is missing is a restaurant, which we're told will be ready next season. We'll be back.

Haven Harbour South used to be Sailing Emporium. It used to have tons of beautiful flowers and sparkling clean bathrooms. That was then. Haven Harbour South responded to my review. Had they cleaned the bathrooms last season, it would not have required 3 letters asking them to do so. Their response to my letters was the following, "Mrs. Bickhart, due to your negative comments, it's best that we no longer renew your contract for the coming season." Glad they finally got the message and decided to clean.
