In addition to the incredible in and outdoor seating this prime location offers, there are 45 gorgeous, brand new floating docks offering fuel (both gas and diesel), a boaters bath house on Gray’s Creek just off the James River. The restaurant offers 100 seat indoor dining with bar and 55 seat outdoor deck, and four hotel suites above with terrific views of the creek and marshes. In keeping with what the Pack Brothers have created at Smithfield Station in Smithfield, the new management hopes to truly create a true showpiece for the citizens of Surry County.
NOTE: This marina is wired to the newest NEC standards and if your boat is not properly grounded you will not be able to hook to shore power! If this is the case, refunds are not able to be offered. Beautiful marina with floating docks consisting of numerous slips as well as easy outer pier docking. Water and electrical hook up available. As a local who leaves my boat docked here several months of the year, I can't say enough about the owners and how easy they have been to deal with.
There is no staff to assist in getting a slip. The staff in the restaurant are very nice and you can ask them basic question about the slips. The docks are in very nice condition. Slip is narrow to get into. Will visit again now knowing all of the finer details. Restaurant food is banging.
Very difficult to navigate into Grey's Creek because of low water at entrance. Checked with Surry Seafood staff to see if depth was sufficient for my 43ft trawler drawing 3ft. Was told no problem. Depth at mid-tide was less than 3ft. No slip was assigned and no staff to provide assistance on arrival at dock. Difficult to reserve slip for same day stay because all automated system requiring time for approval of request. No refund policy was a turn off because of questionable depth of water at Creek entrance. Signed up for twin 30 amp power. There were no twin 30s on the pedestals. Docks themselves were new, clean and well maintained. Restaurant food was very good.
