River Forest Manor and Marina

Excellent stay. We enjoyed the golf carts and excellent shower facilities. Sunday nite dinner at Jacks (one of the few places open) was also good. Surprised to learn that the quoted fuel prices here do NOT include tax.

Mike (Dock Master) was fantastic (very helpful and friendly)! Town was lovely. Would definitely stay again on our way through.

What a nice find Mike the dockmaster was awesome. Really really neat restaurant on site. Free golf carts easy fuel easy pump out. They just made everything easy.

Easy access off ICW , friendly staff who actually help, clean restrooms with clean towels, free golf carts to get you to town easily, and reasonably prices. Town has a great restaurant (spoon river) which we love. Great spot!!!!!!

It's nice to see this property brought back to life ! The upland facilities are very nice. The Manor House is open again, But not on Monday & Tuesday, so we didn't get to check it out. The dock are old, but OK. Would not want to be there in a big blow. That Harbor can build an uncomfortable chop. We had a great night as is was calm.

This marina was outstanding and reasonably priced, especially with the fall coupon. Sammy was helpful and hospitable. Very clean baths and showers, including towels! Loaner golf carts and free laundry are the icing on the cake!

Awesome staff and facilities. The grounds were well maintained and the showers clean and spacious with towels provided. There are 4 or 5 complementary golf carts but the walk into town was easy. Was concerned a bit on water depth but had a minimum of 7’ to the dock. The entrance from the opening inthe break wall was will marked and we had 10+ feet.

This is our second time stopping here. We just love everything about it!! The dock staff is top notch. Golf carts, free laundry along with Fuel and pump out at your slip. What more could you ask for?

This marina has been upgraded. Docks still need some work but new owners are doing a fabulous job. Facilities are much better and staff is great. We had a wonderful Independence Day here

The staff was friendly, helpful and appreciative of our being there. They provided an abundance of local info. The marina is under new ownership since May 2023 and the improvements are noticeable. A new outdoor pavilion, new landscaping and amenities, including a new, quality restaurant.

Every time we are here, there have been more improvements. Restaurant is excellent, staff terrific and helpful. Lovely setting , easy walk to town or can take one of their golf carts.

The staff and owner Larry could not have been more welcoming and helpful we will absolutely return again. Not to mention the on-site Bistro restaurant was excellent.

We enjoyed everything about this marina! Sammy was helpful on our approach and at the dock. The location and facility is beautiful and the amenities were greatly appreciated. Loved the marina and town. The best marina staff on the ICW. This marina has lots of upgrades planned in the next several months. I can’t wait for our next trip to Grand manor Marina. Had our second stay April 2024. The owners and staff do everything they can to make sure you have a wonderful experience while at their marina. Very friendly small town hospitality. They have golf carts for guest to use, free laundry and even provide towels in the showers. They opened a restaurant but was closed when we arrived so didn't get a change to try it out. The marina can be a little exposed to the wind at times but it's well worth the stay. We will go back again and again.

Nice marina, but would not like to be there in a storm.

This is a great marina & improving all the time. We look forward to the next time we stop to try out the on property restaurant. The dockhands are always professional, we had no issues with power or internet and the depth at dock is very accommodating for our six foot draft. You are somewhat exposed to fetch and they are fixed docks, but for us those are easily overlooked due to all of the positives. See you in the spring!

Great place to stop! Mike, Tom, Larry are all first class, very helpful and friendly. The complementary golf carts to get around were so nice, the community of Belhaven is wonderful. Treat yourself, stop here for a few days. When the Grand Manor is open (soon) it will really be special. We will be back.

This is a great marina. Henry, the past owner, and now the new owners are all great. New owner making some great upgrades to the property. Will have a restaurant. Dock, power and fuel all great. Also, free loaner golf carts to go to store or town to restaurants. Always a must stop for us.

Excellent location and staff. Cleanest bathrooms of any marina up and down the coast. Hands on owners, complimentary golf carts, quiet location with great protection. Garmin Charts are incorrect for approachable water depth. They have a well marked channel directly inside the breakwater and plenty of water surrounding and at the docks.

Wonder overnight stay at the new Grand Manor! (used to be River Forest, now under new management) They have several free golf carts to head into the town, we had a great dinner at Spoon River. Great package of information about the small town, fantastic help tying up to the fixed dock. We'll be back! Thanks Grand Manor!

This is a great little marina in the lovely town of Bellhaven NC. The folks are very helpful in all things, and we enjoyed the use of a golf cart. The 19th century manor house is beautiful, and the extensive grounds surrounding it are immaculate. The new owners, Larry and Gina, are making a lot of improvements to the entire property, including the marina and it shows. We will definitely stop here again.

Great Marina. Fixed docks in perfect shape. Staff and owners very friendly and helpful. Having golf carts to get supplies, go to restaurants and explore the downtown was a big plus. Pump out and fueling in slip. Almost the perfect marina, but no protection form waves. Very light wind and no rain during our stay, but our boat rocked constantly and the wave slap made sleeping impossible. The two break walls were no help. If this doesn’t bother you then it’s a great stop.

Fantastic. Helpful guiding and getting us tied up. We accidentally left our power cord behind and they offered up a loaner so we were back in business/AC quickly. The Welcome bag with maps and restaurant/shopping lists was helpful. Golf carts available (no charge ) to make the trip a few blocks to town and back with supplies easy. Showers/bathrooms were clean and nice. Food truck on site if you didn’t want to go in to town. We enjoyed our quick trip

Lots of help docking from an attentive staff. Great perk of having several golf carts for your use to do errands or go into town. Lots of green space for our dog. Clean restrooms. Only downside was fixed docks which depending on the wind and your boat may make it difficult to get off.

Great location right off ICW. Staff very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Mike the Dockmaster was great. Fueled up. Rented the beautiful room above the marina. Was provided a golf cart to visit Belhaven and suggested a local restaurant which was fantastic. We wish the new owners and staff all the success in the world. Wonderful people fabulous location.

Wonderful marina ! Great location in Belhaven with easy access to shopping, restaurants and grocery store. Dockmaster Mike is friendly, helpful and very professional. Definitely recommend Grand Manor Marina -- beautiful facility and beautiful view. Also includes an awesome metal sculpture ( over 6 feet tall) on the deck for a perfect "selfie" with a pirate skeleton.

We spent the day in Belhaven and we stopped by the Grand Manor Marina for a drink. Dockmaster Michael was awesome and so friendly, and helpful. All the staff was friendly. The bathrooms were so clean! Highly recommend and a must see! The view was amazing! We will definitely be back!!

Excellent place to staY!

We came for a night, and ended up staying a week. Not on purpose, but mechanical issues got us and we needed to repair before moving on. Kudos to Henry for a great stay. At 100’ it’s hard to find spots along the ICW in the more “out of the way” places. Enjoyed our stay and all that Henry did to try and make the extended stay more enjoyable. Appreciated the golf carts! While we didn’t fuel up, the REASONABLE rate to pump out the hold tanks was appreciated. When you are using to dropping $50 to pump, you appreciate it when the rates are more reasonable. See you again soon Henry (if you’ll let us come back). ~Capt. David, Motor Yacht Magnum Ride

We were just passing through, but decided to extend our stay. This is a relatively small marina that can accommodate boats of a wide range of sizes. One nice touch is a small fleet of golf carts available to transient boaters to get into town for groceries or restaurants. The folks on the docks are helpful with advice on where to go in the town, which is just far enough from the marina that some form of transportation is necessary, and the golf carts do admirably. The marina has wifi that works well and can do fuel service.

henry and staff were great, very pleasant. golf carts were very nice to use to go to town and store. I have two holding tanks on y boat. It was up to me to see that their was a 15.00 charge to get pumped out, it was a surprise to get charged for both tanks instead of just the boat. my bad , i just feel staff should of informed me they would be a charge for each. oh well, they are two other marinas i can choose from next time in september when i come back through. Great place to stay. Wonderful help getting tied up. Golf cart was great to get some groceries at food lion. Did a load of laundry (free). Found a great Mexican restaurant close to cute downtown area. Very clean bathrooms and showers.

Friendly service, good fuel prices, complimentary washer/dryer and golf carts to get around. Close to beautiful Beihaven. Great dock hands! We will be back!

Henry is always efficient and friendly and makes our stay enjoyable.

I always look forward to staying at River Forest Marina. Henry the Dockmaster always makes sure guests are well taken care of, plus is a genuinely nice person! I used one of the golf carts to make a provisioning run to Food Lion, then got my laundry caught up using the free high-capacity washers and dryers. The weather wasn't the greatest during my stay, but I had a great time nonetheless!

Great place to stay. Henry is the difference. He is there to greet you, send you off, and ensure you are all set for a great stay. Town is easy to walk to and the marina even has complimentary golf carts to use. Would highly recommend staying here.

Henry always takes great care of us. Very friendly, capable and professional. Then take one of the golf carts and dine at Spoon River. One of the best dinners anywhere!

This is a GREAT stop when heading north or south. Henry is a real character. Henry, the free golf carts, the free laundry, and the cleanest bathrooms that I have ever seen in a marina make this one of my favorite stops. The $15 charge for a pump out (my holding tank is less than 15 gallons), however, is pretty steep. Pump out elsewhere and then stop here and use the bathrooms!

Henry treats everyone like family. And he is a pro assisting with arrivals and departure in brisk wind. We extended our stay a day to wait out winds. We stop there to eat at Spoon River Restaurant.

What a great marina! Henry (the owner/dockmaster) is on the mark with service. We needed a diver to meet us at our boat - and Henry made sure the diver was there when we arrived. In addition, the bathroom/showers are the cleanest we've seen anywhere. Henry will point you to the courtesy golf carts to take into town for supplies or restaurants. Stay here on your way by, you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely a must stop for mariner’s traveling on the intercoastal. The gentleman that runs the marina is warm and welcoming. Free laundry on site, golf carts to go into town, grocery, restaurants all close by. They have fuel and propane on site. Give it an A plus rating!!

Had wonderful 2night stay. Gorgeous 180 degree view on Pungo River, lovely 6 minute walk into town, complimentary laundry appreciated. Thank you Henry! We’ll be back!

The staff was excellent. Facilities were great.

Great marina. Staff is wonderful and accommodating, facilities are clean and new, and it's the closest access to the ICW in this location. It is a bit farther from town than other marinas in the area, but they have loaner golf carts that you can use to go shopping, grab a bite, or just check out the town of Belhaven. They have plenty of room on the docks for bigger boats, and getting in and back out is very easy. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and it will be a regular stop on our yearly trips, both up and down. Update: Thank you, Henry! Although getting older, we hope to keep doing our trip for at least another couple of years, and will be glad to see you on the way.

Great place to stay on our way South down the ICW, super friendly staff! Clean bathrooms , Free Landry, New gas pump at great prices, Free golf Cart to take in to town was a real treat, Prices was great as well, had people to help us tie up boat, brand new dock. A must see Marina!

This has been by far the BEST marina on our trip from Upper Chesapeake to Miami. Hats off to Henry and Joshua for going above and beyond!

We love River Forest Marina. This was our third time docking there in the last two years. The dock crew is very attentive... Always! We also like having the golf carts available to go to town to eat. Shower facilities are not over the top but very, very nice. Look forward to our next trip to Belhaven and RFM!

Always a great stay! Henry and Josh take good care of transient boaters...clean, modern bath facilities and complementary golf carts to ride into Belhaven (which is easily walkable as well). Gotta eat at Spoon River while you’re there...ethereal setting and expertly prepared food.

Big ole Henry and this marina is what Southern Hospitality is all about. Easy in and out. Grab a free golf cart and ride into town for Spoon River Restaurant....world class!!! Great hardware store close by. Just love this stop.
